Mighty Caravan Brutosaur: Unobtainable Despite Blizzard's Claims

I am so pleasantly surprised to see that Blizzard has hotfixed in higher drop chances for the world boss mounts! That is something that I had hoped they would do, but didn’t think they would. However, with yesterday’s fiasco, that was the only logical choice and I have nothing but praise for this decision.

Now my last remaining wish is for them to please further move away from the artificial scarcity dilemma and to either return the Brutosaur or to make it appear far more frequently on the BMAH.

Thank you, Blizzard, for listening to community feedback about the world boss mounts. :slightly_smiling_face:

I’d sooner this was obtainable via the vendor so everyone has a chance to purchase this if I’m honest :crossed_fingers:

The Mount should never have been removed, there was no logic in its removal given that other similar mounts remain in the game.

Returning it back to the original vendor and the original price would be the best solution as it would allow those who want to work towards the mount, given its somewhat grotesque price originally.

Agreed, that would be by far the best option. With how things are going where collectibles are concerned, the BMAH now seems like an almost pointless addition to the game anyway.

Given that Dragonflight is also moving away from callings, mission tables and other freely handed out gold, there won’t be as big of an influx of it, therefore potentially raising its value. That means that making the Brutosaur available for direct purchase for 5 to 10 million gold would still ensure that it retains some difficulty to acquire.

Agreed which would also provide content for many, myself included. Knowing I have something to work towards over a few months at least. Which keeps me subbed giving them money in the process. It’s a win-win for both player and Blizzard

Indeed so I hope they are listening to the player base. Their lack of interaction on this subject is concerning though but maybe they are making notes without replying. We can only hope they are but I believe we need to keep this issue alive and make them aware of it for as long as it takes

Yes, and - this is not something I’m saying lightly - while it’s not the most genuine effort and encourages insane spending habits (which is the degenerate gameplay that I’m referring to in my first post), if it means that players are considering the purchase of tokens to get the mount, then that will just mean additional profit for Blizzard.

It’s not as if certain people aren’t already heavily reliant on buying boosts for things that grant actual player power, or partake in extreme whaling. Returning the mount to the players would be the last missing puzzle piece, as it was just so unfairly taken away.

As of November 17 th, 2022, this mount has still not appeared on any North American Black Market Auction House.

This has been the case since July of 2021. It has appeared on a single realm, one time only, in the EU within that timeframe as well.

Previously, before “fix” to add it to Unclaimed black market container, it was seen somewhere roughly every week. Tell me about it.

Big agree!

I think this issue has the most chance of being heard if the NA forums could maintain a similar topic about it, until it’s acknowledged.

Devs know issue. Point is , they did this on purpose. Why? Because of how people earned a lot of gold with selling legendary base items.

Multiple reports from me, a lot of people reported too. Nothing is being done. They do not care.

Even when it was appearing roughly once per week somewhere in EU/NA it would be 60 brutosaurs per YEAR.

This items should and must be brought back to vendors for gold cap. That would be fair for those who paid 5 million and for those you could work towards new goal and a gold sink.

This 100% I’m just waiting for them to acknowledge us, it doesn’t look good when you ignore the people who pay your wages and those that helped put your company where it is today. We ain’t asking for much, just respect our desire to obtain this mount once more

Its removal was plain stupid.
There are so many of them out there that there is almost always someone to ask to mount up for you to use the AH on a main hub.

It’s the same for me. I’m hoping we’ll see this problem recognized soon, because it has been more than two years since this mount has been gone from the game and over a year since it has last been seen on the BMAH.

Yes. With 4-8% of players having obtained this item, it makes the topic an even more sensitive issue, since that percentage value is by no means indicative of great rarity. And since there was no skill involved other than buying it from a vendor for gold, it just keeps on feeling unfair that the rest of the player base cannot get it.

Please hear us, Blizzard, and make this mount purchasable once more. :slightly_smiling_face:

Exactly which is why they most likely do not respond as they know it was stupid, and Blizzard rarely admit they make mistakes which is why they are where they are now. Trying to make up for the last two expansions, well it starts by listening to your paying customers

In ye olde days they called that the Cardinal Sin of Pride. Superbia in Latin, Hubris in Ancient Greek

It’s never too late. As the years pass, Blizzard has become more and more open to change. They’ve changed their minds about numerous things, such as Classic servers, high elf customization and alt management.

Here’s to hoping this will gain some traction just like all the other highly requested features. :slightly_smiling_face:

The problem is that since several years ago it became “Fashionable” for game devs, Movie directors etc to directly go against the wishes of their main audience

Yeah I’ve noticed this too, the “we are bigger than our audience” nonsense that ends up costing them. Looking at Hollywood in the last ten years shows how much they have declined and how people would sooner pirate their movies rather than pay to see them at the cinema

Some of those movies should need to pay the audience to watch them.
I heard they bribed some Brazilians with food to watch Rings of Power.
