Having problems I’m getting this, I have the brimstone pick axe, I know i have to summon and kill Avarius. But problem is there has been a world quest in that area last 2 days and I cant see any brimstone to mine the gems, wondering is it a phasing issue, or have I missed something.
I have the same issue atm. Even if I complete the world quest there doesn’t seem to be any brimstone to mine for the gems to summon him.
Same here I completed the world quest yesterday and today, still no joy, fed up Im mining and getting 1 ore out of most until this is sorted.
I just went there again, while passing and the crystals were all yellow. The brimstone was up and I could mine it. I have seam level 2 now but will have to go back for the other one.

Still no joy, got flying now been there a few times today and the crystals are multi coloured, and that world quest is still up, Im a gatherer, iIm level 3 on herbs, and stuck at level 1 on mining, really beginning to suck.
They really should’ve tied the rank 2s to the quest from the pickaxe and the seed instead of the damned rares.
I’m not sure if the issue is the world quest, I’m pretty sure the trigger mechanism is a rare spawn unto itself, like how the Fertile Soil for the Carniverous Lasher isn’t always up, even if you have a seed.
If you’re having trouble getting it, check the group finder under the custom tab, there’s usually someone with the same issue who’s willing to share their luck, that’s how I got mine.

I went there this morning it had reset, collected all the gems, put them in slot but yellow wouldnt work still was in bag, but yellow glowed like rest, but still never worked. its a joke honestly.Like you said should of lefr it the old way.
