Hello, as the title suggest, I’m playing since the release and missed the first 2 raid resets only. All other raid nights which is months already, I’ve played in PUGs and won 2 items only. The loot distribution system is bad.

I’ve tried to join a guild but seems like mages aren’t a wanted class and moreover, none of the guilds play DKP. Most of the guilds play SR system which again doesn’t solve the item distribution problem. To be honest it is getting exhausting to play without rewards. I’m constantly loosing items to fresh lvl 60 people who attend raids half green items.

Bring back GDKP or a fair automatic looting system. I’m tired of this crap with hard reserving best items and raiding without any chance on loot.

aahh … you dont miss any opportunity do you?
GDKP is pay-to-win. It is so far from what WoW stands for.

Wow is and has always been abount farming and RNG. If you don’t like that then probably find another game.

I mean its alot of rng…
We have lc in my guild which is fine and done raids since day 1 and got 4 items. Not beacuse it was “unfair” loot in our guild abd gdkp wont fix it etheir. . But its been really bad drops in our guilds. No brutally blades, no viskag, 3 quick strike rings etc etc.
Best bet is to pvp to get gear honestly.

I’m in a guild, missed only first 3 resets and got exactly 1 item from guild SR raids - a ring of spellpower. I got benched twice and in those two pug weeks I got arcanist glove, choker of the firelord, t2 helm and 55healing enchant. It is what it is.
We are switching to That’s my BiS priority lists for BWL, so I might get luckier now.
Gear doesn’t matter anyway, we are getting R14 in a week, and that will last you until naxx.

Step 1: Be valuable and good.
Step 2.: Join a good guild with competant tanks and healers without a jacked up roster that does Loot Council.
Step 3.: Follow requirements for World Buffs and Consumes
Step 4: Get loot when deserved.

Vanilla is a social game where you can’t be some hermit who refuses to speak to anyone as you hide in a garrison and only Q for things that give BIG PURPLE REWARDS :soyjak:

I’m playing in a guild for 12 lockouts and won 0 items. I think vanilla raid items are just rare. I saw 4 drops that I would need. Was greedy with my dkp first 3 times and was outbid by another poor soul last time who just went all-in for that drop.

I got almost full T1 for cosmetic reasons, though, it looks pretty ^^

First of all, DPS sim your gear against Best in Slot gear. As long as you accomplish hit requirements you will see DPS don’t change much ( provided full consumables + world buffs ).

Staying close to tank, and precasting on pull will always be more valuable than gear. If you play correct you will top dps no matter what ( compared to your class ).

Consider getting rank 10 gear ( easy grind ) or maybe Rank 13 or 14 for epics. Quite a good epic gear is already free.

Blade of Eternal Darkness ( Mara blade ) is another great option.

you are right about loot dist, drop rates and SR raids, everything is RNG.

Same bruh I only got 11 raid items so far and 4 Ony bags. I should have 11 Ony bags by now and 12 raid items!
(My raid lead is still waiting for his hard reserved Onslaught Girdle lmaooo)

Personal loot was the only good system.

I hate GDKP (because swipers), but even I have to admit it’s better than the existing options.

SR sucks unless you get mad lucky (I got lucky a couple of times).
LC is corrupt af.
EPGP/DKP is corrupt af.

Personal loot was the best thing ever, every raid night COULD be “my” lucky night. It wasn’t, but it COULD have been.

Nonsense. I’m more valuable than most players, regardless of which class I play. We’re talking "99.6 best perf avg in firelands hc, a couple of world #2 (personal, not guild, decayed since), server #1 DPS on certain fights - dps, not “my class”). Got the logs, got the videos.

It doesn’t matter how good you are when the loot system is corrupt AF and every single one was.

Follow requirements to for WBs and “consumes”, because “consumables” is a difficult word, yes. Then you get to pay between 200 and 600 per reset, depending on server and you still get nothing, because there are 2 pieces of loot dropping off a boss, 40 people in the raid and a few of them are friends with the right people, whereas you’re “the outsider” - one of many. Then one of the 2 pieces is worthless (We’re talking Seal of the Archmagus levels of useless) and the other one is just half bad.

“Get loot when deserved” - and of course, you “deserve” it when someone else decides that you deserve it, even if you’re at the top of your class (and of the raid), but too bad some other people have been there for a while and are friends with the right people, so you … don’t deserve it.

Bruh, I actually have 4 ony bags. I won them because I SR’d them when everyone was SR-ing t2 and/or viskag/deathbringer. Otherwise I’d have 0, the current guild raidrolls them, I’ll let you figure out my chances of winning one with that system.

This, I recently got my 4th bag because I only reserved them since my first Ony. Went form literally only me rolling on the first one to like 15 people on the last and me buying it from the winner for 250g. My OCD wouldn’t allow me to run with 3 Ony bags and a bottomless in the last slot, even though I know 250 is overpaying for it.
Funny thing is, I won T2 in a free roll while doing it :laughing:

I honestly think lc with a good guild is the best system.
And we as a guild do certain things woth loot too.
For exampel ony bag everyone rolls on and 2 highest rolls on the bags wins. And if you already got a bag you dont roll untill everyone in guild has it etc.
