Hello does anyone know if swapping ML affect what loot you get? Our guild has begun to speculate becaus we have not had Eye of Divinity drop even once since Cristmas eventho there is a 50% chance. We have also never seen Bone Reavers Edge even once since we started raiding back in early September. We also don’t have a Thunderfury. Im the raid leader and we have the same guy masterlooting every single raid, we got 100% attendance… So does swapping us out make a difference? It feels ridiculus
Wouldnt be surprised if it is rigged.
Our paladin started the raid, binding dropped, mount dropped in ZG with his group, and he always grants people with SGC.
We are raiding since the second possible ID.
We never saw one TF binding. Other guilds have four complete TFs.
Also we have a lot of caster loot (tear the whole time) but no healer loot.
Blizzard never said how the loot is determined. But there are a lot of rumors:
Master Looter
Person who opens raid
Person who enters instance first
I personally think it is just RNG, but rumors are there for 15 years now.
It’s mostly just RNG, but my guild likes to joke about raid IDs often. Take yesterday for example.
Usually the loot we get is rather disappointing, but yesterday we got a ton of excellent drops. Incidently, we had a different player start the raid ID, so now we joke about having him give us all the raid IDs in future.
The loot is set from when the ID is formed, in TBC some people (rogues) abused a bug in Atlas loot to see if warblade would drop off illidan or not. And reset the instance to get a fresh loot table.
Well on our raids, geddon are months keeps dropping the usual bullsh!t ring and shoulders, no binding.
Majordomo the very same in not dropping CHTs (like 3 months or so).
Since BWL opened, we NEVER seen a CTS, a DragonBreath Hand Cannon and some other stuffs
Since BWL open we got 1 maladath, 1 shadowflame staff, 1 boots of shadowflame etc.
Mostly we get trash loot (druid off sets and T2, mage T2 at spam) that ends sharded. Meh
The loot table is spawned from the moment the first person sets foot in a raid instance.
Changing ML or whatever shenanigans will never make a difference.
The only possible way to get another loot table is to reset said ID, but why even do so if there is no way to know which items appeared on the loot table.
You’ve just been really unlucky.
