You’re MM hunter, right? It’s not really about deflation or inflation. MM hunter was 5 times a better class in SL than it is in DF.
because 2s didnt feel the deflation like 3v3 did when wotlk came out because the 2s playerbase is always there.
Yes, but not by 7 WEEKS. That’s 1/3 of the entire season.

Again, not by 7 weeks. I am clearly a better player than I used to be in Shadowlands. It’s marginally disproportionate, especially in 2s, less so in 3v3, but still not by that much.
Sorry i added more on but i got 2400 in s3 slands in 2s on frost mage and on dk around 1-2 weeks in for 3s it took around 10 weeks.
Also lets take into account how much more people played 2v2 in shadowlands because you know you could play double dps comps unlike now ^
I enjoyed 2v2 in shadowlands but I only played double dps sp/mage sp/dk it was fun and a lot of others also did this.
And again, not my point. Sorry, I’ll continue tomorrow, we’re just not talking about the same issue here.
No brother it’s because Solo Shuffle exists which cannibalized other brackets pretty hard.
But that doesn’t change the fact that gaining rating right now is fairly easy after the last MMR inflation hotfix.
There is WAY too much propaganda going on about “deflated season” “can’t gain rating” etc
And half of the people spreading it are people who are stuck with 500 or 1000 games on the same rating, refusing to admit they might need to learn to play better
I would never touch 2v2 again in its current design of needing a healer on most classes shuffle really can not kill 2s it is a design flaw that blizzard have added in DF which make it very hard to keep up with how many cds players have and how low sustain dps has.
Shuffle only really contests 3v3 for players who cant be botherd to look for a 3v3 team.
Infact more people would play 2v2 if it was fun especially dps players if double dps was viable as they are sitting the shuffle queue anyway.
100% agree with everything u said. Except the double DPS part.
I only use 2v2 to cap vaults and gear new alts. Sometimes I help out randoms in LFG who are trying to hit 1800 for the transmog along the way. But we all know what happens on higher 2v2 (well most people do) - you start spam facing Rdruid Outlaw Rogue / Rdruid Windwalker / Sub rogue X / BM hunter Rdruid
And at that point you’re too fried to deal with 20 second CC chains and queue something else.
But double DPS 2v2 is generally either Rogue Mage. Everything else basically auto loses to healer + dps as it does not live long enough. I don’t think it’s that fun or good for improving to spam your whole keyboard and yolo if enemy dies it dies if not u die
Ohh ofc these comps were always at the top but there was many comps been played at the duelist-elite rating which made the gamemode fun to just chill while waiting for a healer for 3s sp/rogue feral/hunter rogue/mage lock/sp dk/sp warr/ret now the only real double dps comps you can play have a rogue in it.
For example i enjoyed playing mage/spriest because we would kill rdruids while cc the hunter you try that now and you are just dead to the pets before you get a chance.
Yet most of those revolve around yolo tunneling the enemy healer. Which I don’t see how is fun. But fun is subjective for everyone I guess.
Was fun giving 2s players a healer check you could not kill the healers who knew how to play the game and it was possible to kill the dps vs priests.
Yeah, as I said, fun is subjective. I personally don’t enjoy games where it’s all in win or lose since the beginning as your only win condition is using your entire spellbook within 10 seconds.
Of course some slow reaction teams or healers would flop and lose. And maybe that’s fun, but it’s fun to people who have fun just for the sake of winning, not actually playing good or outplaying enemies.
I don’t feel like a good player if I triple DR stun a Resto Shaman casting his big heal and he dies from it. It’s a win, but in a sort of cringe way
Well in shadowlands we could easily take the game to 3-4 minutes it was not fast games at all there was a lot of abilities to survive like alter time swap fleshcraft etc and heals actually did things.
Deathstrike for example could heal up to 40-50% of your hp there was a lot more self sustain for dps back then.
That is true but Shadowlands had every class with a lot less spells.
Warriors had to choose between Storm Bolt, Double charge or Impending victory for example. Now they have all 3.
Mages didn’t have displacement. Rogues didn’t have infinitely more spells like now.
The list goes on.
The game is just more complicated and bloated now, every class has an answer for most situations. There’s very few pure “negate” situations left, like putting a DH in a steel trap and watching him stare at u with angry eyes
I wouldnt say its complicated its just easier to not fail and be punished for bad positioning i think the game is currently in the easiest state it has ever been with the only thing mattering is downloading weakauras and learning to track certain stuff.
1v1 for example on some classes you might aswell forget it as the classes are so streamlined and designed around dampening that there is no way to outplay anyone.
Slands was probably the closest we had to mop in a long time DF does feel a lot like wod/legion and they 100% went the wrong way with game design.
If you skip a year you’ll defo play much worse.
It’s not only muscle class memory, you need to learn new things-builds-meta changes, it takes some time 4 sure.
Ofc you can pump the same 123 rotation, but your class or others can be redesigned, blizz like it these days, adding to the learning list some more lines.
I’d say ppl play like 30-40% worse after a huge break in overall final perfomance.
Rating decay and rewards given to end of season will be nice stuff…
I always looked to the guys on top of ladderboard with big grain of salt, like guy have 2800 rating, played like only 60 games during entire season and sits on throne… stench of fish is is insane, because in 60 games shady things can happen from wintrading to anyhting imaginable… It woud be much better if your presence into ladderboard must be maintained through season instead just get position and stink like king of p00p on the throne.
