Moderator attention, please delete thread

It was a justified silence. My comment was extremely stupid but 1 month seemed like an overkill.

I am really sad that this thread has again turned into people ‘baiting’ and individual forum pvp. I guess nobody actually read the opening posts.

Don’t be.

This thread evolved just like it always has on this forum - working as intended.

This thread is actually one of the mild and nice ones.
When this forum is at its worst, I need breaks from this forum. And others also give themselves forumvacations.

Forums are opinions thrown at each others.
And how this turned out is just the flow of a conversation, that started from the original post.

It just evolved, I think people have gotten past the slinging insults stage and are now being fairly jovial about it all. Alright, Jovial -and- sarcastic- when I post long replies, but mostly just jovial.

You know me Brig, I am a sweet person and not in the least bit sarcastic

But I do honestly hate that it devolved into forum pvp :frowning:

Glad I wasn’t around for the ‘worst’ ones then Moothilda

They come in waves… I expect to see it around the release of Shadowlands

Is it the infamous Blizzard pyramid scheme where every time you get sanctioned you move a step up the pyramid to an even harsher punishment?

Sweet? Debatable :speak_no_evil:

I think someone very sensitive looked at my flagged post and brought out biggest guns against me

There always used to be a thing that the punishments escalated so a lesser infraction could end up with a longer silence as by that stage you had had more of them.

I got 1 month long silence and then a 7 days vacations few days after I came back for another “CRIME”. This time I wasnt guilty tho. I honestly think GM who gave me 30 days lacked sense of humour.

They do appear to be harsher on the new forums than they were on the old.

It was. But then the same community that was hating on Blizzard for punishing the HS player for saying what he wanted, started doing the same thing by silencing people on their own. Some people have their own opinion about what the rules should be and ignore what the actual rules are. Most likely these are the people who mass flag people with their alts. At least i rarely saw a hidden post that wasn’t reverted by Blizzard mods.

I don’t really care though. I was flagged a few times, comment hidden, and it was reverted by mods as well and now all of them are visible. I just find it funny how hypocritical this community can be.

To be fair Teann I don’t think people should be allowed to say what they want if they are going to be offensive, I have said this throughout the thread, there are ways of putting your views forward without abusing others. People don’t have to agree with your views, but they should not be allowed to silence using the flagging system, as long as your post is within the CoC

I don’t think i said that people should be allowed to be offensive, but most of them are allowed though. Now i don’t check every single thread so this is just my experience, but most of the time when i see a hidden comment, its just an unpopular opinion that most likely gets reported as trolling.

Meanwhile people who personally insult others for playing a certain class (especially DH nowadays) or race, or for not having good enough progression in their eyes, are never flagged. I’m sure if we go and look at one of the bigger DH bashing threads, we can found at least 10 comments in a minute about how DH players are braindead and live with a disability, and none of those are hidden.

I agree and this is what I was saying first of all, although I do believe I may have caused some of the problems in this thread with how I worded things. When I said groups of flaggers, it has been blown out of proportion and people have taken this to mean a real group of people flagging posts they disagree with. What I meant to say is if a certain amount of posters are using the flagging system to silence something they dislike or disagree with, then that is an abuse of the system and I would like to know if the Moderators tracked it.

So there will always be class debates and as you know the DH is a popular one that some people love to criticise. I actually play a DH and love the class, but you are right, to say they must be brain dead or disabled is offensive and these posts not being flagged just proves that the current system does not work.

I have personally only ever flagged two posts since I started using the forums, posts I found particularly offensive. What I am saying is are there people using the flagging system just to silence people they either don’t like or whose views they don’t like?

I am very curious: how a post/comment on a forum can be a “real life threat” towards someone? (take note at the words: “real life threat” !!!)
Please explain me in detail this…ohhhh this one will be funny guys. We start again. xD

P.S. : Don’t blame me guys. I really wanted to stop being a douche. But some people have a talent to “awaken my inner brute” and when that happens, i can’t hold myself.

You really should try Yeha

That “real life threat” topic is too funny to not evolve it. Don’t blame me , blame him.
