Toggle button like in Diablo 2 remaster would be nice. Swapping between old graphics, models and animations and new in real time.
But its not possible. World graphics upgrade happened Cata and later with many map changes. They would have to upgrade old zones just for this and they never will. Animations and character models could be probably doable as switch, but some of them looks better in old version and some of them in new one.
For example I like new “overwatchy” looking human female faces but I hate new N-elf female faces and also not huge fan of new BEs. But that is just personal pref. I heard other people hating on new cartoony human female faces quite often.
I’d appreciate a toggle option for new character models as well, since the Retail cat and bear models for druids and some wolf models are already implemented. Let players switch graphics like in D2R or just by a click in the Menu.
