Modern WoW rant , and goodbye

Can I have your gold ?

Don’t disregard Delves

I’m not big into the dungeon spam mindset. I’ll do dungeons with my guild on my Mistweaver but that’s about it.

Delves have reinvigorated the game for me. I’m levelling classes and playing through Delves on each and it’s nice being able to go at your own pace.

Give them a go, you don’t have to rush.

Between vanilla and wotlk my whole life revolved around wow, played at least 6h per day and quite often all-nighters… i enjoyed every second and everything about the game…

even the community and the people in general was enjoyable and having toxic encounters was rare. Met a lot of people during that time that i’m still friends with today… good luck finding even a friendly player, or someone that isn’t mute these last expansions.

Cataclysm was the beginning of the downfall and i’m not alone in thinking this. WoD for me at least was was enjoyable but only as a way to pass the time… Legion was the last breath of a dying game.

The war within is the last expansion i play, i couldn’t even force myself to hit lvl 80. I can still enjoy SoD at least, MoP Remix was fun for about 4-5 hours. Hoping for WoD or Legion remix this year.

World of Warcraft died with Arthas.

Play classic?

I agree and disagree this genre of game should not be fast it should be slow and takes time its an MMO yes i get people have lives and work etc etc but to me its too fast, yes i have a twink that runs quick runs etc but thats because i adapted or trying to to others, i run instances for fun untill these m+ end game only players come along trying to show off with their silly rio score etc and have no idea about unwanted packs and packs that fear etc and think it is funny to ruin my runs i do for fun and for free, by pulling and then being total *********
I take my time with the game and never play end game as ive seen the community change and tbh i want nothing to do with these players and people on certain realms but thats just me but i do not understand these players that say its only about end game, theres so muxh to do on wow
Projects
Pvp twinks
PvE twinks
Exploration
So many achievements

You get people moaning theres nothing to do as they rushed it and when blizzard does slow things down people start moaning…blizzard cant win and neaither can tanks… go to slow go to fast. Pull more pull less lol  the Gaming community makes me lol and yes i find it pretty pathetic with this end game mentality but thats me

Well, I have 7 characters lvl 80 already and I just unsubscribed. The game is badly designed, boring grind, even Diablo is better now, as tank killing 1 elite in delves t8 currently become a 20 min endeavor which I don’t have time for, as a healer is impossible, and the difficulty comes from increased health pools and the impossible amount of damage mobs do, nothing more. There is nothing player-oriented in the game, fun-oriented to make you actually play it, it is just a grind for gear under impossible circumstances, I don’t like to be forced into things, the beauty of playing this game for the sake of it, to relax and enjoy is gone, so am I.

What is a ā€˜stuff toe’? Do I even want to know? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Wrong, I am sorry but the end game is designed to make money, you lvl fast, and then to get to the end game you need to do M+ or raiding, idealy +15 and mythic raiding, and here comes the pay part everything ingame became so expensive you run out of gold because the items in the AH are inflated artificially by the bots I suspect Blizard’s so you spend all your gold, then buy tokens, then buy boosts which are offered by streamers and other real money making companies who benefit the profit of Blizard (if not even created by the company itself) so naturally they receive the support, all is a money making, nobody cares about what player wants. It is time for players to actually figure out what they really want, to be scammed, or to enjoy a game that gives them much-needed relaxation and escape from reality not deepening them into it until they suffocate.

I’ve been playing since vanilla too and we used to level in grey gear and cherish every green or blue, but you can’t expect a game to be the same 20 years later and people wouldnt be playing it if it was that game.

At that time, nobody knew what was around the corner. We explored caves we’ve never been in with wonder because there was no 20 years ago.

The game definitely didn’t respect your time either. It took forever to level and gear up. You had to walk to every dungeon and even battleground entrance. So, i really dont know where you’re going there. Leveling back then took a lifetime compared to what it does now and rewarded you very little for it.

With that being said, i really do think they made a huge blunder not making the leveling process more fleshed out. Not just in terms of length but adventure. I really think trivilizing the process and making at least the first time leveling experience more challenging was a massive missed opportunity.

However, lots of addicts, i mean players today want the best gear without the skill or effort. They rushed to max level knowing nothing was there for them to do but still did it and then complained there was nothing to do. They look to cheese and bypass every challenging aspect of the game and desire to be handsomely rewarded for the slightest effort.

So i get it. They should have struct a better balance but im still greatly enjoying the game. Its the most fun ive had in a very long time in WoW

Typo of stuff to me I think

Half the time they’re I don’t want this mmo to be an mmo tho

Brother realized this after the game has been this way for 15 years

ye its weird, since m+ exists the game is the same, it was even worse before with mandatory borrowed power farm like anima, azerite or AP in legion.

When you check his achievement, this person was subbed during each anniversary, so he probably played wow or another version of retail since 2018 .
He even did some mythic bosses in legion, which was more paced than what we have currently ( with m+ and AP grind) because season start next week.

Classic wow is still available to day if thats what you like( hell i even play it ) , but dont lie about " the content was leveling up, exploring, and learning your class " .

The content was like that for the first time, not the 600 next time you made a char .
Also classes had 1 or 2 abilities for all classic raids ( molten core you had to decurse or move away from 1 ability ) , mage had frost bolt only , later fire , warlock shadow bolt , warriors and rogue are mostly auto attacks , hunter were oom after 1 minute.

Just say you dont enjoy the game right now because you changed or whateve else , but dont complain about the game were you played a part of it too in 2016

Man I’ve been playing casually on just one character this time and I’ve finished the main storyline a couple of days ago. Now I have to do everything else…

You get to do everything else.
You don’t have to.

This game has broken everywhere you look, every aspect of this MMO is dead in the long run. I have sold my items at auction and my long years journey ending here… It’s time to move on lads.
