Moments that make you love classic

As to be expected we have many negative threads on the game or calls for changes along with genuine gripes that we should really just endure. There’s always those moments that elevate above the annoyances and remind you why you enjoy it. For me, my 49 hunter (ignoring what the meta experts insist) earlier came out of defending the wsg flag room and capped all 3 flags for the win. I’ve not done that in years retail side. It put rather a big grin on my face. I just thought it might be worth doing a thread where people set out what moments for them make it worthwhile, no matter how obscure. Not having fishing casts interrupted by attacks from lower level mobs is one of my odder ones.

Logging in to new mail and collecting silvers/golds from AH selling:D

Yes, WSG is fun. But hunters often makes my life as flagstealer difficult. WSG is one of the things I missed from vanilla.

Its also been fun to explore the world. I´m going through the game slowly and explore every nook and cranny. Blizzard made the big open world very well in vanilla. Its a pity a lot of players are in such a hurry. They are missing a big part of the game, I think.

Totally agree. I even found a small room in UC the other day that I’ve never seen before. My chars are likely to level even more slowly now I’ve refound my love of battlegrounds lol.

A little while after the release of Dire Maul I was doing a quest and got the telltail sound of someone in stealth, I saw the outline right as I ran passed and decided to dismount and Nova - to my surprise I had Nova’d 4 rogues! Quick blink, blizzard and couple of instants and all 4 were dead - just a nice memory.

It was quite clear by the way that they had all just ressed or been in a fight or something, they weren’t full, it wasn’t any extraordinary skill on my part but a lovely happenstance!

Just citing myself from another thread, ignore the strating words.

Playing a WSG in the 20-29 bracket on my druid, very fair game, equal ish teams all 3 flag captures to win the game came from mass mid field battles where both flag carriers came out of hiding to help fight in mid and then racing to deliver the flag once we got ours back! One of the best WSG games I have had for a long time!

Despite for the realms I experince this on are called empty and dead, I am really so happy that when I run around players they greet, talk, buff and sometimes trade/give without any questions asked or rude behaviour added

One evening on Dragonfang almost had me thinking I landed on a roleplay realm, every player in Crossroads and also in the undead beginner area (when I later created an undead) was fully living out their character and speaking IC to each other and to me - it was one of those evening where I really thought is was fun to be in the game

I had that on my lowbie rogue where someone randomly traded me a dagger better than what I was using and just ran off. It was gratefully received. I do pay it forward as it were if farming something in a low level area and get a drop no use to me, just randomly trade it with someone who could use it. I was dishing out free 6 slot bags around Thunderhoof Village at one point when I’d replaced them with better.

Hmmmmmmm let me think.

Nope. Nothing comes to mind classic is dogsh1t.

My most recent memorable thing was killing that ganking human rogue Gekksson decked out in perdition blade and cht. Nightslayer etc. As a 58 druid in tanky gear with some roots and mauls. He wasn’t expecting a fight i guess.
