Monk or Hunter?

Hello everyone. I was playing rogue as main but now i unlocked vulpera and i want to try something new. Im a new player and Im thinking hunter or monk.
The reason i want hunter is i liked all three specs, i like taming pets, i like when you can move and do all your things in BM, MM is good i like the bow and shoting people :smile:and if i want melee there is a option too.
The reason i want monk is Im okay with all 3 roles, WW monk can nearly do everything and vulpera monk is cute idk :grinning:
I would be glad if you can help

Hunter.

Always hunter.

Levelling is so fast atm with the current buff, why not make both?

I am really bored of leveling… I tried rogue, druid, warlock, DH, DK… A little bit of everything

Monk

Always Monk

I’m probably biased, but monk.

I do have a hunter alt and enjoy it, but the option to take any role in a party is great for someone who favours social content over solo. Plus our class fantasy is just better developed and we have a great class hall that is still worth hanging out in just to be there  Also monk mobility is just plain fun. You get addicted to pinballing around

Thanks for the answers  Yes, it is really good there is a option to take any roles. I am not looking for best or higher DPS btw, just enjoyable rotation is enough.

I like BM hunter a lot. It’s a fun mobile specc, has historically always performed pretty well, and it’s unparalleled when it comes to soloing. I’d go for that as I don’t like monks, but as ever YMMV XD

I like both.

Like Hunter bcoz of pets.

I like monks(only windwalker) bcoz of it’s mobility, AoE and rotation.

Always Monk. We have lots of buttons to push and things to do, in fact we get penalised for pushing the same button twice in a row.
Plus we can tank, heal or dps, so go for Monk. Let’s not forget their xp bonus when levelling is immense

Played both and i would say Monk is more entertaiment then hunter… NO OFFENSE TO HUNTER CLASS! <3

Just stay still for about 1.5 seconds. Don’t worry, if it crits you won’t feel a thing.

I’ve got 2 monks at 120 :joy::joy::joy: that’s right, 1 Alliance and 1 horde. Plus I have a monk in levelling on another realm. Monk is awesome, he can tank, DPS, heals.

So ofc my suggestion for you is… hunter. This the most fun class ive played and regardless of how many other classes I have I only use 2: hunter and paladin.

The caveat I’d put on monk dps rotation is that without conflict and strife major, you can’t hit a button every GCD indefinitely. Either you have to sit back, let an extra half second elapse between skills, or you run into a dead zone every 20-30 seconds where you have neither energy nor chi and just have to punch-kick-punch-kick your way out of it.

With C&S it’s glorious and I over-cap resources all the time - but there will be occasions when I really want azerite or purification beam.

That said, beastmaster has far less buttons in general and can still leave you hanging for focus. Not sure there are any instant-skill classes that are immune to intermittent resource starvation, and casters have… castbars. Which take time. So perhaps it’s not really a thing to worry about

Fixed it ^^

I mean you’re not wrong :stuck_out_tongue:

We’re basically physical casters now, and I like it.

Makes playing my shammy and druid derivative though.

I made my Vulpera a monk purely to abuse the monk levelling buff, but then again I will rarely ever play it.

We can’t really tell you what you are going to enjoy.

I prefer hunter over monk but that is my personal preference.

The what now?

I can’t remember off the top of my head what level it becomes a mastery buff, I think it was 90 but I’d have to check.
