Do it so playing alts doesn’t feel bad. One alt has the brewfest kodo, another random alt the headless mount. Why can’t I use them on any of my account characters, when I’ve farmed them all jesus?

Don’t do it. Alts are exactly that: Alts, new beings, detached from your main. Characters in their own right, not an appendix to your main.
Having anything account-wide would detract from the fun of levelling alts and have the mounts, pets and achievements with them as well.

Playing alts is already fun. Why would another character get to ride the pvp mount one of my characters battled countless enemies for (all right, all right, not that many, thanks to pool boosting^^)? It is connected to this character, not any other. To me, having completely seperate characters adds to their value. This goes for mounts and especially achievements.

Blizzard obviously disagrees with you two, since they already implemented account wide mounts/achievements in Cataclysm, after they realised how dumb the previous state was.
What I am asking is they do it NOW, instead of next year.

The retail team disagreed. The Wotlk team did not. Wotlk does not have shared mounts or achievements and does not need it. I understand why you would want it, but no. Alts should be alts.

Can’t wait for account wide mounts and achievements, so tired of this bs with bad server management where you either have to wait at least 6 months for them to finally open a server transfer (still waiting for firemaw transfers aha) or you have to reroll and somehow farm unobtainable achievements and farm mounts for months again
It might actually be a deal breaker for me. It would take a lot of pursasion to stop me cancelling my account of something like this were ever implemented.

My suggestion to you is to delete all your characters now and create a new one, otherwise I think classic is not for you either
It would at the very least make me play way less than I do now. But I hope they keep Wrath Era servers when they progress to Cata - else I’m out.
No need to delete the old ones … that’s what fun … make new toons, but keep the old 
I dont really care about achievs or pets, but I would like to see shared mounts … I have bunch of char+mount combos I like to use, but having to farm specific factions (like kurenai) all over again is tedious and boring as heck … and some mounts are pure RNG, I got timelost proto on char I dont use very often and getting that mount is nothing skilled just leave your alt in storm peaks and do something on other screen …
keeping them for what? wod classic? I want to play wotlk phase1, not some future phases or expansions
Your main argument against account wide stuff is that “main is sacred and alts are just alts” well yeah I really agree about it but my problem is that one or two of my sacred mains are pretty much unplayable and I don’t want to lose a 100+ days /played progress and just start a new one you know?
Don’t want to write my whole story but sadly at this point i’d rather have account wide stuff now than spending another hundreds of dollars on transfers and waiting until the game dies, because afaiu they won’t open server transfers anytime soon
For achievements. I have the old Brewfest mount on my highest levelled character. I want to gloat over this now and again

I want to keep on playing Classic Era and Wrath C. Era. No further xpacs for me are Classic.
I feel sad for you, but if they’re unplayable paid transfer should still be an option. … that’s what I did when my main was on an unplayable realm.
And Account wide ach. etc. will come with Cata - when I quit, if we’re not given Wrath Era.
Guys, I really really want my draenai death knight to be able to ride my amani warbear and have my rank 14 title on display. Is that such a big problem??
I started playing on gehennas in the TBC pre-patch. I left it when it was dying on alliance side. I was not “lucky” to start at a good server.

If I make a 2nd warrior, all my gear should be BOA too. Its tupid that ive farmed the gear on one character and cant use it on another.
hmm yeah mounts and achievements are later account wide so why not now… doing the same achieves 3 or 4 times for a proto drake mount is boring anyway
