There is a guy (druid) on Draenor (not gonna name shame) that is multibotting 24/7 in Tirigarde Sound collecting herbs with atleast 8-10 druids running.
I’ve seen him for days, weeks now and still alive and well…how is he not banned, is this allowed?
unfortunately for us all, multiboxer scumbags are allowed by blizzard as they buy more than one account. Doesn’t matter the damage they do to the economy of honest players, once blizz gets their cash then anything is allowed.
Sorry matey, scumbags and their multiboxing is allowed by blizzard.
Multiboxing is tolerated, botting is not allowed.
For clarification Multiboxing is multiplying your inputs via software to multiple WoW instances (basically it is one button press multiple actions, like makros but on different WoW instances). As this is not automated, but every action a character performs is a direct reaction to an input you give it is tolerated, but I assume it would be banned if it get a huge issue.
Botting on the other hand would be automated actions reacting towards in game changes. This is not allowed and if someone is doing it 24/7 I guess it is botting (however I wonder how you would know he is up 24/7, and I would suspect this guy to be multiboxing with your current information given)
Multi boxing isn’t against the rules. So although it may be a pain to be stuck behind a multiboxing herber, sadly all you can do is try to vary your route so that your’e not stuck finding no herbs, or that they vanish before your eyes
Im not mad over it, it’s just crazy to think what a profit it must be. I farm herbs and ores with this character alone and it’s easily 20-30K / hour… now if u have 8-10 druids at the same time, wow. Just wow.
This is why they can afford to pay for the subs of their multi box accounts, they can make enough gold to play for free and can gather a huge amount of mats.
You do know that works out at €3.33 per hour assuming a token costs €20 and delivers 180K gold. Now if someone offered you a job to work for that rate?
Well think about it bro. They spend 100 quid PER MONTH on the sub cost. I mean… I’d rather just buy tokens for gold if it was so important. (assuming 10 accounts roughly of course the costs go up per each one, you understand)
Which is 180k gold per month, per account. If we go the argument that it makes hella profit… Not really, considering all of it goes to paying for subs on all characters.
So I mean maybe in one anchor weed herb he picks up 45 anchor weed. Thats quite a bit right? Sure, but he’s gotta pay 1.8 million gold per month so it really doesn’t mean more profit is made. UNLESS he pays money irl for all 10 subs, which is a lot of money. Like 1300 quid a year without anything extra.
And as to control them, bots aren’t used, all the characters just respond to the actions from a single keyboard and mouse, displayed over many monitors.
I used to really enjoy 1v5ing multiboxers back in the day on my warrior back in mop. Good times. Like on the mop pvp wall.
Sadly multiboxing is allowed and the closest thing next to this is botting. I mean the only reason the guy gets away with this as it is his own personal input, even if it is done through the means of 3rd party software.
To further clarify, multiboxing is simply the exercise of playing on 2+ accounts. What you refer to is usually called multiplexing or multicasting, and can be done through hardware aswell.
Boy do I love being pedantic
If you feel that way about boxing I can only imagine your stance on boosting
quoted for the topic not as a response
If this happens, change zone if you aren’t getting the herbs you want/need.
However the spawns are on a timer from first time it was farmed if I’m not mistaken before despawn so farming behind a multiboxer can yield higher anchor weed…
I just had to show and tell you all you’re wrong and blinded by your hatred as you think someone is making millions of money simply because they’re multiboxing.
Hours spent are required, accounts costs are increased and those materials don’t just sell 1, 2, 3.
