Multibox ban wave?

Hey ! Did any other multiboxer got hit by a ban hammer? I have…or had 5 characters with which I farmed Scholomance for Dark Runes mostly. But not 24/7. More like 2 to 3 hours every other day if that much. I did write a ticket, but not sure what good it will do.

Or maybe policy regarding multiboxing changed and it is now not permitted? Maybe a blue post or somebody knows more?

Also please refrain from flaming. saying multiboxers are evil etc. I am just asking if some multiboxer was banned or if somebody know did policy regarding multiboxing change. Not that it matter much after I think about it. Doubt I will level new characters anyway, but still want to know If I am alone or there are more of us.

Have fun :slight_smile:

No flaming needed polite mister.
You were botting 8+ hours every day.
Have a nice day. Good luck

were those multiboxing accounts running any other automated scripts other than just the multibox program that allows inputs to be multiplied?
because if you did, then good riddance. multiboxing is already frowned upon and taking it a step further by adding a bot on top of it means the accounts in question should be banned 5 times over.

if you were a victim of the recent banwave its safe to assume you were investigated by blizzard and found guilty of doing this. and if that is indeed the case, i hope it was a permaban.

Refrain from Flaming? I guess only one of them was using the bot so the other 4 should be ok? Is that what you are saying?

Multiboxing is allowed (cause it makes blizz extra money). Using software to control the characters is grey area. Boting should be banned, no question about that. Controlling multiple characters with software SHOULD in my opinion be banned aswell but has not been the case for a long time.

If blizzard decided to ban people of both cases all I can say is “well done”. Multiboxing should be about having trades between your chars, summoning stuff, opening portals and so on…not oneshotting people in the world just cause you have 5-10 accounts and a very strong pc.

I feel the OP was doing more than just multiboxing.

Probable but not necessarily, easy enough to get false flagged if it’s an automated system, I mean I’m not saying he’s blame free, but I would put forward that there will be legit single players with Guildless alts Mages for farming and jump runs Etc get caught up in this. Enough reports and boom you’re hit.

hahahahahaha

yeah banned for “multiboxing” in strat

HAHAHAHAH

To be honest i don’t think you got banned for Multi-Boxing. I think the rule of thumb that applies to Botting is If you are not sitting at your pc pushing the controls and your char is moving/fighting/playing on it’s own it’s considered botting. If i would use Razer Synapse to program a long chain of actions for no matter how long it would be botting. So i trust Blizzard has proof of your Actions and if you feel wrongly punished i’d suggest to make a appeal and open a ticket.

  • Go to the Blizzard Support page, log into your account then select World of Warcraft under “Blizzard Games”;
  • On here, make sure to choose the “ I would rather categorize the issue ” option underneath the form;
  • Select “ Account ” on the left side panel, then “ Appeal account action ” on the right side, and then once again click on “ Appeal penalty “;
  • Click on “ Continue “, then once again on “ Continue appeal “;
  • Now you should be in the WoW unban appeal form, same form where you can appeal for a WoW Classic unban as well, where you should select the banned Game License (if multiple);

I’m not saying OP is right or wrong. If he/she has been banned wrongfully, things should be set straight again, if he/she was botting the bann was well deserved.
What saddens me the most is to see these hatefull comments about multiboxers. Multiboxing takes time and practice, every single input is made manually. It must be hard for your jealous ego, seeing other people with more accounts than you, having to complain and whine about your pitifull lives behind the keyboard of your comfort zone.

Multiboxing is still allowed, as long as you follow the rule of “one click=one action”. As in, no automation. (I know that opinions differ on what is automation here) But as long as you have to manually click or input an action, for your boxes to do something. If you do nothing, they do nothing. Then you are fine. If this is the case, you should make an appeal and explain that you are a multiboxer, and what software you use.

Multiboxing by itself is allowed. So chances are, you were either washed away with the tide during the ban wave; or you were straight up botting.

If you were just multiboxing, Blizzard will manually view your punishment and revert the ban.

If you were botting while multiboxing? You’ll stay banned.

Hello my friend,

first of all: don’t listen to the flaming kiddos. People don’t like multiboxxing since the release of WoW, but there is no obvious reason that it should be not allowed, other than “i don’t know what to do, he oneshots me with chainlightning and i can’t do anything” - it has nothing to do with making blizzard more money - they are just baddies, nothing else.

Now to your topic:

I have alot to do with multiboxxers, having 3-5 accounts myself (for other reasons than multiboxxing) and i heard from quite some people that they got banned - especially people that boosted their alts through dungeons to level them and put them on follow. It seems that the “follow” thing is a huge indication for their “huge software” - and it caused massive problems with multiboxing people.

It should be EASY to detect if the bot is hammering inputs on a certain scheme/script, or if you are handling them yourself - and i hope that blizzard is willingly enough to reverse/rewatch those cases. Probably every botter will try this, but it’s their deed to check if their ban is justified or not.

I for myself got no bans, even tho i unsubbed my currently 3 accounts - i won’t pay retard blizzard anymore cent if they spit in their playerbase like they do right now.

cheers bud
try your best in getting them back, chances are not too bad!

I consider it more likely that they are lying about their activities, and that they have either been been using automation software or been involved in RMT. I’ve been using follow since october, and can still play both my accounts.
