Hello, my name is Evilmorty, iam a 60 years old Gnome on the classic server zandalar tribe, and most people on this server probably know me because iam multiboxing.
i started multiboxing shortly after classic was released so i can farm my consumables for every weeks raids. i do run 5 accounts, 2 of them i would use without multiboxing anyways, but 3 of them are only there to multibox, without the ability to use broadcasting software like isboxer, theye 3 accounts would loose all value to me.
After reading the upcoming policy changes i am wondering now if theres a way to get refunded for the last year i was paying for these 3 accounts, since i only payd for them because multiboxing was known to be a thing at blizzard games and it was strictly allowed by the TOS.
personally iam very sad about this situation, the reason i love to multibox in classic wow isnt so i can earn millions of gold and have an unfair advantage over others, but mostly because its a challenging experience to do full dungeonruns on your own for example, or mutibox your whole group in a raid and still be on top dps on most of your characters,. multiboxing itself is an experience that i heavily connect with my time playing wow since wotlk, it has been a part of the game for a very long time, and without broadcasting software, you cannot have the same experience as before.
its a shame blizzard made this decision now after all those years. i could understand why they would do this to a new expansion like shadowlands, but for the existing versions this will be just a bad customer experience.
iam wondering how others see this, i know multiboxing is a controversial thing, especially with all the farmers ruining the economy, but not all multiboxers are like this… if this policy really happens iam expecting my money back.

You will find little sympathy here. This forum is really hateful toward miltiboxing. You will get a better result writing an email to Blizzard support, but you know as well as I they will not refund you anything. Not ever.
In either case, get ready for a torrent of hate and schadenfreude.

No. You just spent a year playing them. Why would you get a refund for the last year when you were allowed to play them?

because the service iam paying for has changed and the time i have spent is wasted.
anyways i got a different question and i´like to know how blizzard sees this:
the use of broadcasting software will be forbidden by their new policies. but what about using broadcasting hardware like a tool that sends keystrokes from one keyboard to multiple machines that all run wow seperate? since this is a hardware solution it wont be detectable. will this also get you banned?
try it out and give us the results wether you’re banned or not alright?===

Most likely yes, that’s what I currently do, 5pc’s 1 keyboard. But it’s like this, if its not illegal
but it smells like something That is illegal you can be damn near Guaranteed you’re going to get caught as collateral.
If a dolphin swims with tuna does a fishing net care what it catches?
I personally don’t give a bleep, I’m only dual logging and without any external tools, just good old alt+tab, so this doesn’t affect me.
I will keep on boosting my alts with my main and anger the “holier than thou” forum whiners

no body cares about you doing your cringe boosting via a second account
this is more on the ones that use a software to control 40 accounts at the same time to gain advantage over others

I’m also gaining advantage. I enchant my own gear, avoiding the insane fees of the scammers. I do elite quests and dungeons without having to wait for some retarded PUG which will wipe and waste my time.
whatever deformity you just stated don’t mean you are a multi boxer
what you’re doing is fine

No offense but that’s kind of an absurd request considering you got to reap the rewards from multi-boxing with those accounts. The stuff you farmed with those accounts is not gonna get taken away from you.

If Netflix stopped making more seasons of a show/ended a show that you enjoyed watching, you wouldn’t ask for your money back just because you feel like you wasted your time watching it now that there are no new seasons coming out for it
You’ve watched it, you’ve enjoyed it, it entertained you for a short while. Just like you’ve played and enjoyed your multiboxers.

No it wasn’t. In fact it has always been against the EULA if you are using software not allowed by Blizzard. They have been looking the other way but now they are more specific.
Multiboxing is still allowed. Using software to play many characters at once is not and never was allowed. The only difference now is that it’s specifically not allowed.
Multiboxing is cheating and pay to win and you are a disgrace to this community.

No sorry multiboxers got what they deserved.

Good. Multiboxing is just exploiting/cheating. If you cant play the game without multiboxing you should just git good. Now blizz only needs to do something about boosting and bots.

I hate multiboxers, they deserve no respect, and to my eyes, they are but cheating rats.
