Yeah i know, they are beign tolerated by blizz…
But do the, have to join dungeons?
Was doign some nonheroic dungeons with my alt and saw three druid dps walking around doing exactly the same. Tried to kick them because i dont wanna play with cheaters but failed, so i left the dungeon.
How is this a problem ? A multiboxer can do (well I can :P) more dps than 3 different dpsrs. I have even MBd in raids. In legion was in that Tomb raid doing my mage tower skin unlocks.
In Antorus was trying to get those transmog weapons. No one had problems with me.
Been in M+ with few me’s.
So what exactly is the issue ?
cheaters
When I was leveling and saw 3x multibox i was glad because I knew he is at least above average player.
Bit naive to think you could kick a person controlling 3 characters in a 5 man group.
Have your own rules, but I think you were a bit silly there. If they are doing a good job its not worth the deserter buff. Besides its not that common to be grouped up with multi-boxers and a lot of them will avoid running with randoms because of the attitude they get. You might as well just got through it for that one run to not waste time.
Hell, when I duo-boxed when I went for the RAF mount I’d just 3 manned the dungeons with my wife because I seriously didn’t want to hear the bad attitude of strangers.
You know me learning to control several characters and me learning to control multi class/spec combos did teach me to play this game better. Not only needed I dodge fire with ONE, but try doing it with 2 or 3 or more.
I see often people fail to move from bad stuff on ground even with their one and only main character.
Funny enough, even if i control 3 or 4 characters at once in a dungeon, its still better than most pug groups
Boxers are allowed in dungeons as long as they pull their weight… that was a blizzard response I recieved many years ago when I started doing it myself.
Ones that have them on follow where only the main does anything they can be banned for it.
Oh no look at a young enterpreneur who cannot make bank like he expected , by mining or farming materials because of multinoxers. Lemme give you a tip - you would not succeed anyway as it is an illusion of choice you have. One way and only true way to become successfull Bill Gates of WoW is by buying 50 tokens my dude.
I don’t mind multiboxers if they are actually multiboxers in random dungeons, but the ones where they just have a second account on follow and do nothing, those are annoying.
Those are most likely new boxers who dont know how to put on slaves on follow AND cast the same things as the main char.
Once a boxer learns how to master the macros and keybinds, boxing can be extremely powerful especially in the open world, its not that great in dungeons but easily doable in heroics and mythics. I also saw someone doing some mythic raid bosses lol, its fun to multibox
Yeah I started in TBC - as a clicker
It made me a much better player… I stopped clicking years ago.
People used to do it with the recruit a friend benefits on a second account but they’ve been nerfed into the floor now (xp wise) so it’s not as common.
What were the druids doing wrong aside from walking around?
I went to trade district last night to check mail and post some stuff on the auction house and someone said in /s “multi ****** *******”, my feelings were hurt.
Please direct belligerence elsewhere, join a battleground or arena.
I started vanilla, and ended up in system, where I was able to respond and whisper back via one character, when someone spoke to my minion. And was totem twisting in TBC. Multiboxing did teach me to ‘not click’. In some point I had so many macros and keybinds that I felt like a machine.
Without MB I’d still probably click
I could never go back to that way
Yeah but for the most part they do horrible dps
Just like with any other player - some do good dps, some dp bad dps. Multiboxers are same way - some are good players, others are less sharp. Nothing different in there.
I have yet to see one do good dps
But to be fair they are very rarely in dungeons
