Multiple specs and how to change talents

Hi everyone,

As many of you, I’m thrilled by the upcoming wotlk classic launch! I have played retail for a lot of year, but I started out as a kid on private wotlk servers - as I couldn’t afford a sub. And those glory days, those days of nostalgia are finally back!
BUT, I want to be critical, and the main thing I personally would like to see different is spec-changing. As many of you know, in retail you can activate your different talent trees anywhere and anytime: say if you are a paladin, you can switch from holy to prot and vice versa anytime you are out of combat, regardless of place. That talent tree will have saved your last chosen talents. Those talents can be changed in ANY REST AREA… FOR FREE! Or even in ‘the wild’ through a consumable!
And THAT is what I want! Why, you say?

Well: for pretty much anyone dabbling in both PvE and PvP, this will make sense, as any situation requires a spec. Now, it’s not like in retail that a spec changes your focus from single target to mutlitarget, but there is still a very clear difference between a PvE build and PvP build. Even more so, dungeon vs raid specs… This might be niche, but it also might be the difference between you and the next bloke that just took your raiding spot!
Also! Classes with multiple roles! Say you are a paladin or druid and have all 3 roles? Currently, you have to choose between those roles. Say you are retribution and have both pve & pvp build in the current mode? Too bad, you can’t tank or heal anymore!
RDF will not be implemented: I don’t see a problem with either approach, I get both point of views, but the removal makes a QoL change even more important! It’ll make grouping with randoms easier and faster!

Currently the system is a money sink (intended?) but most of all a chore, as you need to play a ton of visits to the resetter if you play multiple specs in multiple scenarios.
Please give this some thought and a thumbs-up to raise the awareness!

(also, I’d really like the journal to be in wotlk, but that’s another thing  )

Best regards,
Ark
