Why don’t we have a default flying form, it’s annoying xD like my Dracthyr should be a ble to fly, I am not demanding the Dragonflight where Soar is faster, just an option, like a Glyph or something to get a sort of “Race/Class” spell, with the 310% flying, I have some many question to why they do not
AND FIX THAT DAMN CAST ANIMATION on ELFS! why is he fist fighting the air when I heal people, it’s so UGLY to look at, why ain’t that adressed either.
Dracthyr are not dragons.
Well whatever, they have wings for a reason.
Ostriches have wings too, yet they can’t fly.

Have you ever given it a thought that Dracthyr weren’t meant to fly? Only to soar and glide.
They litterally have a drakthyr flight racial ability in storage, it was used temporarily before they got the class able to mount…
Also:
Soar quite litterally is flying.
and the ability is very similiar to monk’s Zen Cloud, Instant cast, but 150% flying speed.
You can make it 3 mins in each continent fully explored, if you’ve done it with other characters then use the maps you can get as toys to fully reveal the world.
As Dracthyr can only be Evokers, I think they should be able to fly similar to how Druids have Flight Form and Worgens have Running Wild.
Just make sure they have to dismount to interact with stuff and I don’t see why it is restricted.
No. Flying would imply using your wings to gain altidtude. Also flying is done with a sense of direction and purpose. The wings provide their power. Soaring relies on aircurrents to gain or maintain altitude without the use of their wings. They remain motionless.
Perhaps Blizzard did this on purpose.
Are you seriously suggesting that basicly all common aircraft are not actually flying but soaring? Every aircraft gains altitude just by the lift generated by the airflow around their wings (with enough headwind an A380 would launch automatically even without engines).
With the exception of the Dune-Movie I haven’t seen any aircraft that actually flaps its wings…

Not talking planes here, but birds. Biologic avian species. But you are right. Planes fly because their engines propel it forwards.
Zen cloud instantly dismounts you if you get into combat though, it’s really bad for anything except fishing 
(Although it is excellent for fishing.)

I’m guessing they just don’t want to give us full Dragonriding before Dragonriding is officially available in the game. But they want to give us a little taster to get us excited.
Hopefully it will come in a later patch. But it’s not necessary right now.
P.S. I don’t think Azula is being the Karen in this thread.
I dont see how people complain about that Dracthyr cant fly whenever they will, they have 4 min cooldown, or 3 if they have discovered all the zones. Whilst zandalari have 15 a minute cooldown for a merely slow fall.
