lvling is tedious and boring ( 15-51 dungeon leveling).
Really bad questing system. at least fix it before u release this game.
game is limiting my choices for example my druid is only accepted as dps(feral) or healer (resto). so, you cant be free to choose any class. u have to know the meta for endgame raid/dungeon.
1 mechanic bosses. i cant even tell what i killed most of the dungeons if i killed mob or boss.
-super casual game but designed to waste your time.
really easy game. the bad design for mobs being together is what made the game hard for old people i think.to me it’s easy…(lure the pack …root one…reset the rest…kill the mob)
really toxicity in dungeon from people unbelievable. and they ask for meta just to dungeon leveling.
it’s not fun game at all if u compare it with any other game right now. there r BDO, Tera online,BNS each have their own difficulty and require skill to do things or killing mobs. but here…naah …auto attack only.
As mentioned above. Sounds like Classic is not your game. They were never going to change it and rightly so. For me its awesome and I am having tons of fun and am only level 22. Hope you have better luck with the next game you play.
Community isn’t SUPER toxic , i’d say I encounter 1 out of 50 people who would be.
Druid you can tank heal and damage all dungeons. In raids you can damage as feral , off tank as bear and heal greatly (Most classes have one spec what do you want?)
For the rest of your point if you’re not having fun just play another game:)
Some people will never learn that Vanilla is all about having fun with your crew or random people you meet along the way to lvl 60 .
If people are toxic , just leave and find another group …
I see you are the part of new generation that didn’t have the privilege to experience this game at it’s fullest when it came out …it was one of the cornerstones for every game you compared WoW Classic with.
If you want the good time in this game you need to friend list all the people you think it’s cool to play with that you meet along the way .
Some of my friends that are new to Classic but are veterans from other expansions having a bad time just because they rushed the content and vent to lvl up as fast as they can playing solo and not having fun at all … generally bored from grinding alone …
It’s all about the journey not the destination … to see and feel the roots of World of Warcraft …
It’s remarkable that you spent all 7 days and all 60 levels to realised all that also levelling through dungeons deprives you from all the joy you could have doing quests, teaming up for hard quests, helping getting support etc. I don’t rush to 60. For the first time I don’t have to worry about the rush to max level. I have been to a number of dungs and I met only support, not toxicity. Perhaps I was just lucky. As to the class choice, I know bear I s not the best tank.
I’ll start with the obvious: sorry you don’t like the game. Even for the most successful ones you’ll find people that don’t like them, and WoW (classic or not) has its flaws.
No idea. In my realm most people are helpful. The usual groups of immature kids or immature adults or people who act like nobody else exists (maybe they don’t speak English but you’d expect the common sense to at least answer 不懂 to let you know would be universal), but most people I’ve talked to are fine. Find people you’re comfortable with.
For example, while I’m sure your guild is a group of fantastic people, being in my 30s I don’t imagine myself joining a guild called “LMAO u got SLAMMED kid”, because I suspect we wouldn’t have a lot in common.
Dungeon leveling in Vanilla will unavoidable make you shoot yourself. Except for the “turbolevelers” that spam dungeons doing AoE, which isn’t unheathy either, in general you shouldn’t be doing the same dungeon more than a couple of times if you’re there for the experience (experience, not experience points).
Nobody argues class design is flawed, but the game allows more flexibility than some people claim. You don’t need 40 people to raid, or everybody to do their very best, because content isn’t that demanding. Hybrids have their strengths in PvP, dungeons, or solo. Balance druids are not competitive in PvE, but a raid can bring more than one without shooting themselves in the foot; they’ll sometimes join parties as a healer or as a DPS without changing specs. Druid tanks, like paladins, can off-tank, or do 5-man dungeons just fine. And so on.
Sure, particularly low level dungeons. “Trash” also has a gimmick or two (“this mob reflects spells, this one silences”), or none. In Vanilla encounters are more strategic than tactical.
I don’t understand what you mean. Show me a game that’s not designed to waste your time.
PvE is overall easy. A lot of WoW, particularly classic, revolves around character progression, interaction, group setup… If you understand your class to use your abilities effectively content is not really hard. However most of what you’ve done until 60 has been with very flexible setup; dungeons can be done with a wide range of levels, so they are only demanding if your group is tight. Try doing a Baron run with bad gear and you’ll see a difference. Or try raids.
I’m sorry for you if you’ve only found such people. Or maybe it’s a realm thing. People keep complaining about all this “meta” garbage and I have yet to see any of it beyond a couple of “LF AoE”.
But again, if you don’t like the game, you don’t like it. That’s not really subject to debate.
You so lucky my friend. i just did 14th run in stockade from lvl 18-25. the toxicity is really common in my server.
There is something i didnt get before, but im starting to understand. when the “tank” trash talk or make mistakes, you dont argue with him or tell him what went wrong ! you simply shut up and continue. “healer” usually leave without saying anything or replying ! really dps fight over ninja loot or be quiet and ignore us which result kick or continue …people i noticed in DM dungeon they ninja everything when they reach the ship just to make it difficult to replace them. really ragin stuff even when u ignore all these toxicity.
There is, and will always be toxic players in online games, and you are more likely to meet (more) toxic players during your journey to 60, than you will in BFA, because Vanilla wow takes time and requires communication all the time.
Classic has been demanded for over a decade, and most people knew what they went into. The game is perfect. We just need this layering to go away now.
Well classic is a 15 year old game so some of what you are describing is due to this, but keep in mind when it first came out it was really cool as it was new and allowed for people to play a game with others around the world.
As for the community being toxic this is just gaming in general nowadays. You find toxic people in both versions of WOW and other games. People feel they have to be keyboard warriors and are saying and doing things they normally would not have the balls to do in person.
Just mute and block them and ignore them, its really that simple.
There are toxic people on retail as well but not even close to the toxicity of the classic fans. People on retail are toxic between themselves but most of the toxicity of classic players are aimed against retail players for no reason which makes it more toxic and pathetic as well.
