I respect this kind of post.

I would rather be called a Asmon shill who makes up fake numbers to win arguments on a World of Warcraft internet forum than have someone go:

But who is to say? Whether good or bad exists? Can we truly ever discern any truths about game design? I mean sure WoW is dying, but is that really bad? For are not all opinions subjective? Are there in fact any truths to this world we live in? You know it was David Hume who once said

As if said user had just completed some kind of Philosophy 101 course.

Like, keep this stuff coming. No moving goalposts, no pathetic whataboutism. Just real honest forum PvP.

Good stuff.

If that is true then:

People would not mention that the rest of the raid is a joke in comparison.

Raid bosses have been overtuned since MoP, as that is when the first options to overgear content (war/thunderforging) was introduced.

I personally do not mind if people perform worse than I do, as we are all different with different learning curves and ceilings. But people also need to understand that heroic is the end game for the majority of the raiding playerbase, and beside Dathea the other bosses are kind of a pushover.

Razsageth is an improvement compared to other bosses, because unlike the Jailer or others before him an individual mistake will not wipe the floor with your group. I think for an “end game” it is fair to expect just a small amount of coordination, and people who listen to raid callouts.

Which makes me wonder if OP is actually doing the raid leading part. Does he call out incoming mechanics? When to use potions or healthsones, or defensives? This is all part of the raid leader’s job, as not many can rely solely on DBM.

Even a mediocre group has a chance at downing Razsa, but you need to tailor your groups capabilities to it. If even then you struggle then there is no shame in reverting back to normal, or create other events your guild will participate in: m+ day, transmog runs, achievement runs, alt raids.

The game has more to offer than aotc, and if your group makes as many mistakes as it was highlighted here then there is no shame in accepting reality that the group may not be able to get aotc this tier, and then moving on to do other stuff.

Well the boss is getting nerfed, so should be doable now!

We KILLED IT

Thanks Blizz for nerfs, better sooner than later. Thanks for the feedback everyone, including the trolls

Still can’t kill this crap

Address me this Blizzard, why upon reaching the platform during the first intermission do I take 70% damage when falling? Hardly anyone else gets this and I cannot use disengage when falling to mitigate this (nor my personal Pterrodax Swoop). What gives? Was responsible for my death in the last pull because I wasn’t topped up enough. Design your crap correctly!

Also sometimes when I disengage backwards through the circle wave thing it still carries me, sometimes it doesn’t. Or is it WoW requiring some kind of millisecond perfect timing from me?

Its intended. Some classes can semi negate it with passives or even completely negate it. You did however not die from it. You dropped to 100k. You death in that pull came later.

You still get pushed back. That happens even if you teleport through it as other classes. The massive damage from being near the ring however doesnt apply.

Still, don’t know how I’m supposed to kill this thing and what other people are doing to do so. The epitome of frustration.

Well i mean like ras is a well designed endboss tbh, it should be much harder then every other boss immo. Does it needs another nerf nah not really.

Guess I’ll just delete the game then

It being the “epitome of frustration” is a you thing im afraid. Just looking at your last pull at first glance i see pretty much low healing, tactic mistakes and so on. Clean your execution up and its less of an issue. Or get to 415 ilvl and faceroll it by overgearing it.

You only doing a handful of pulls each night also adds to it.

That’s a bit vague. How exactly? I mean, this fight seems so easy for everyone else but not me. What gives?

Plus I’m 413 so I don’t think that’s going to help. Still feel far too squishy

Yet every other boss is a one shot. Makes no sense the sheet chasm of difficulty difference

Different levels of skill. Also vast difference in groups doing heroic. Be it the class setup or just the amount of people due to flex.

Im not talking just about your personal ilvl. Everything i said is in regards of the whole guild/team. Again i only did a quick glance over your last wipe and how many pulls you do per night.

As Deja said in other posts that would only means the earlier bosses are too easy. However Raszageth is nothing out of the ordinary as far as other end bosses are concerned even if the difficulty ramps up a lot within the Vault itself.

The main issue with your guild seems to be that youre only spending about an hour per night in the raid.

As other guilds have defeated ras already on hc it means its not overtuned, they maybe have a better RL, or they know the fight perfectly well with positioning, or better DPS tbh. Yes its hard but as proven not impossible.
