No, it doesn’t. It only comes if you go out of your way to do boring content.
I want the pathfinding grind to be harder, longer and slower!
So you all haveto waste more time on it
Id maybe get it if it cost gold.
Ground mounts are fast enough and then i can camp a road to jump some allys
They overdid it in BFA but it is a perfectly acceptable general idea. There should be a catch-up of course, but that is a slightly separate issue.
Congrats.
Now do WoD pathfinder for another free mount!
If you play regularly you barely notice pathfinder, the problem comes for people who come back for a new patch or have missed expansions.
If world content is boring to you than you dont need flying. If all you care about is runing some dungeons or raids flying isnt needed like at all.
No. I hate reputation grinds. I don’t do them unless I have to.
I play regulary. I am just not interested in daily quests, and Pathfinder was a nightmare I am already dreading to do again.
I do other types of content, that keeps me logging pretty much every day. Not been unsubscribed since mid Legion, when I returned the last time. Pathfinder is a nightmare I have to do, because flying is important to me. Pathfinder is way too demanding, and quite destructive. Not sure I’ll be around for the next one, unless it just becomes a loremaster/map discovery thing.
Well ok, but rep grinds are a part of the the open world game. I would reduce the flying requirements somewhat, but if you don’t want to do open world content at all, you won’t get open world rewards.
You decide for me it isnt more fun with flying? Ok…
Not allowed to have my own tastes and likes anymore
Again this type of statement. Is the law. MMORPG law.
This is a game / business and what matters most is customer satisfaction and how much money the business makes.
When I hear you people with the “rules” of MMORPG is like hearing a school teacher saying to Beatles: you can’t play that. Is not music.
I made it clear in another post that I prefer this model because its fair for all, not because I enjoy it or think its the “best option”, merely “most fair, currently”. I actually made it quite explicit in my post I thought grinding world quests was stale and boring, that I didn’t enjoy doing it, but that I don’t see another method that doesn’t advantage one player group over others, whereas pathfinder currently is more feasible for all. Lore master is attainable for all as well, but when it comes down to it the people who can play wow for 12 hrs a day will have the advantage in unlocking it quicker than anyone else. For a business marketing an mmo that is “open access” that’s probably not a good call. Current method is boring as hell but both the 2hr and 12 hr guy will obtain flying at the same time. It’s fair.
So yeah, we can dispense with the “I love pathfinder” reading into my post. “best of options” =/= “I love pathfinder hells yeah”. I would prefer a more exciting method to earn the rep for sure, but I want it to be a system that rewards my choices in game, not how much time I can dedicate to the game in a given play session, or how much gold I’ve stockpiled over the years.
Dp you like world content? Do you enjoy grinding world q, reps, farming mats etc? If answer is no and you say i like flying it is pretty clear you dont like flying becouse you actualy enjoy bein in the air but you just like fact you can be done with that content faster. And thats not what"i like flying" means. It is pretty easy to tell who likes flying and who like just fact they can be dobe with content they dont like faster.
Or it is just fun to fly.
Edit:
Why should it has something to do with doing other game content? It is just more fun to fly in whatever i am doing or not doing?
As someone who loves grinding and has probably done more content and grinding then anybody in this thread, i can assure you that Pathfinder is and will be the most detrimental thing in the game to ever exist. There is absolutely no argument for being anti-flying except you’re a sadist who wanna ruin others people choices when it comes to how they want to play the game. Because otherwise you could just choose not to fly yourselves and be happy, but no, you want to dictate what other people can or can’t do with their free time.
The argument from Blizzard is different ofcourse, they simply want to artificially timegate the duration it takes for you to complete their limited and sparse content. The only difference for me with doing worldquests with or without flying is that without flying it takes 30 more seconds for no reason at all. No, I don’t stop and watch the grass and hills that the designers so painfully designed and put into the game - I don’t care about the enviroment to that extent. I don’t stop and fight the pointless white mobs, I double heroic leap, use skystep potions, invis potions, anything I can just to not have to fight the same pointless mobs over and over or look at the same grass and hills for the billionth time.
If I want to be immersed and read quests I’ll play Skyrim or Fallout, not world of warcraft. In wow i want to grind and collect stuff, not fight pointless whitemobs with no rewards whatsoever or run to the same worldquests over the same hills for the 450-millionth time.
Yeah we both know it is not truth. People want flying for its covinience no for fun.
When i speak about myself we both know you are wrong.
Flying isnt choice. It is like saying you can earn 50 dollars in 10 minutes or 50 dollars in 1 hour. Thats not choice. Choice it would. be if by traveling on the ground would be compensated with higher rewards similar to WM.
Than why people complain about blizz wasting their time traveling on the ground? I havent seen anyone actualy want flying becouse flying is fun. 99% of players wany it for its covinience nothing els.
There is even in this topic also someone saying flying is a fantasy forever and it is great to be able to do that in this game?
You just do not want to see those messages and project your own thoughts about flying on it, instead of understanding people are just different than you.
