And this concern is answered here:
Ignore him. He just wants to one shot all the bosses and collect the rewards. He’s doesn’t care about anything else other than his own greed.
I care about the now removed instances that could be re-added as untuned lowlevel content intended for higher level collectors. Think about how great it would have been to have the old Sunken Temple back in retail - an old gem of a labyrinth dungeon to explore.
You’re trying too hard. If players can go around one shotting other old retail raid bosses for tmog etc then old Naxx shouldn’t be an exception. Heck why don’t we just remove all old content and only keep existing new content just to keep the challenge alive…
what is going on with everyone recently what is up with these threads, it’s so alarming to see, im convinced most of you want this game to be worse than it already is so sad to see the amount of people who don’t care about this game at all, unobtainable items are the only thing left in this game that is still cool there is nothing special about a transmog piece that everyone has
Naxx isn’t an exception.
Naxx is available in the game. It was moved from one location to another.
If you go back and read through my arguments. I often mention that this was a very very different time and different game to what it has become now.
I’m not saying that Collecting is a bad thing, it’s something I enjoy greatly myself. I’m just suggesting that somethings should remain sacred to those who committed to the challenged and obtained them.
Whether the challenge was reaching Vanilla Naxx, or simply questing through the very organic version of the levelling experience. Or even just happening to complete all 3 Fated Raids on Normal mode in a given 3 month period. These items show how these players supported the game in its early days.
It makes the game interesting.
Exactly what I said, but in different words.
If you’re really interested in those things, you would go and do them on Classic realms. Once you’ve cleared the dungeons there’s nothing really stopping you from going back to explore (other than respawns I suppose).
I appreciate you’re a collector, but there is no reason why certain items from certain eras of the game can’t remain sacred and locked to those era’s.
To me, seeing another player with an obtainable item in their collections makes their collection interesting. They have lived through part of the game that I haven’t. When you play the game, and really involve yourself, you’ll understand the journey and the good times and the memories that you can attach to certain rewards.
Your collections stop being an ever increasing Number in your Achievements tab, but something quite special.
this is insanely well-put, this right here is the difference between the current devs, and the old devs, once that fundamental mindset changed so did the game.
Unfortunately, I’m fighting a battle where the opposition will never and can never see it like this.
They just care about their collections and having everything. And they see things that they can’t have and refuse to accept the reason why they should just leave it be.
I would even make the argument that they realise the value, as part of the reason why they want it, which in turn will devalue it. But honestly, I just don’t think they even care about that.
The reason the instances got removed was because they lorewise got moved or released in a new version appropriate to the current expansions, and having double up with instances would make the game files take more storage place, and they understandably did not want to oversize the game minding the average computer hardware back then.
This had nothing to do with the desire to make unavailable rewards holy and sacred as that was never their intent.
Right now we have a Dalaran floating around above Northrend with a WotLK Violet Hold dungeon, and at the same time to we have the Legion Dalaran and Legion Violet Hold available. I know the chars strictly moves back and forth in time between those two Dalarans, but the same would apply to vanilla Nax if it still was available. Which it can be because the devs have that version around and as a part of classic WoW.
I am interesting in having the experience on retail, which is an experience that never can be had with a proper raid run hasting through the instance.
Oh come on pull the other one. Blizzard has never remotely cared about saving space. In those days, WoW used to come on DVD’s and if you wanted to Install Cata, you had to start in Vanilla and install every expansion along the way.
Naxx was re-released in part because it fit the Lore, and in part because a huge part of the Vanilla player base complained that they didn’t get to raid it during Vanilla.
But it was re-released. For what you claim to want to do, i.e. go back and 1 shot the mobs and look at how pretty the design of the Raid is, it’s still well within the form that is suitable for you do to that task.
Then go and run Naxx then. It’s there for you to run in the game right this moment.
The experience will be no different to running Vanilla Nax and running Wotlk Nax, because all you’re going to do is 1 shot the mobs and look at the decorations.
You’re arguing for something you already have!
Yes your point is very valid, nothing to discuss here. But in some scenarios, it’s impossible and FOMO is very much present. One example being the brutosaur - people paid literal € for tokens to buy it since it was removed.
You see it like that. I see it like that:
‘Classic Naxx now represents players who PLAYED at that time’. Some didn’t due to IRL reasons or other reasons, which is very bad - they created something and took it out. It’s bad enough in my eyes, but it’s even worse since they brought it back via BMAH. I would agree way more with you, if the things were perma gona, like the challenge mode skins and OG Legion MT skins. Fair play here. But they introduced half of the items on BMAH. So they actually got rid of the raids or the OG ways of obtaining the items, but they’re fine with spending gold caps on items like T3 warrior helm. Hypocricy at it’s finest.
That’s a false statement. Don’t mix CE guilds with RWF guilds. Yes, guilds like Echo and others spend months to prepare (having multiple bis geared chars) aswell as split runs, but only to grab every advantage on the way to win the race. Average CE guilds don’t have to perform stunts like this, and they can just go at their own pace. But here’s the difference what we talked about and what you can’t wrap your head around at. In classic, the barrier was to enter the raid. Now, the barrier is the actual raid.
So to answer your question - Mythic Rygelon is difficult. Mythic Halondrus was omega difficult. Getting attuned for Naxx is time consuming and not hard.
how would you know anything about attunements you couldnt even get champion of the naruu and hand of a’dal pihalecsmrti
But they put it back in 2 ways.
- Wotlk.
- Classic Era servers.
The experience is there to enjoy.
My reasons for not doing it, is because I was too slow to the party. I started the game, late Vanilla and was more indulged the amazing World rather than the end game.
But I can respect the people who put that hard work in.
I already have T3 and I think they should reintroduce Naxx 60, also Onyxia 60, Zul Gurub 60, Zul Aman 70. Completely stupid for them to have removed this content from the game to begin with.
The only T3 bit I need is the glove, and I have the token in my bank I just didn’t hand it in because I didn’t realise that the quest would get removed when Cataclysm launched. Up until Cataclysm you could still hand in your T3 pieces + scraps etc, you just couldn’t farm any new ones.
What I think they should do is re-introduce all retired content and make all old raids playable in the same way Final Fantasy seems to have done, perhaps with some chromie time thing. Literally who cares about the Black Market, it’s ridiculous that people are spending 10million gold for T3 pieces, they were selling for cheap in the early days of the BMAH, now it’s become ridiculous. Just re-add Naxx and let people farm T3 too.
I don’t think he understands how tuning works.
You can always joink t3 very cheap on dead realms.
You secretly left out the part where you only want this to happen, so you can loot the Corrupted Ashbringer.
Yeah true, the experience is. But not the sets and rewards from it. I will probably never get T3 or the swift zulian tiger mount. And I farmed it for the majority of WOTLK, just was never lucky enough.
I have a char on wotlk classic and I’m farming the ZG mount, but it will never be the same. My OG account is my OG account ![]()
So you suddenly have to have the attunements in order to know anything about it? I couldnt be bothered with any of the 2 in tbc because tbc raiding sucked. Happy now?
There’s always BMAH for that exact reason. ![]()
