My take on the 58 boost (41yo oldschool wow player)

I heard that you get a special trophy if you win the race, because obviously the game is just a race where you compete against all other players for fastest time.

Writing the same stuff for a hundredth time but I have to:

“Everyone else” levelled their character, at least the first one themselves by playing the game. What you seek to buy, they earned it by putting their own time into it.
Since there is at least 4-5 months until TBC release, maybe even more, why don’t you do what everyone else did and just level up a character?
It’s not that hard, also quite an adventure, especially if you are on a high pop pvp server. (I personally like pvp servers, pve servers have their own flavor ofc for those who don’t like ganking etc.)

Just give up.
Blizzard has opened the floodgates soon tbcc will be retail 2.0

That made no sense and little disrespectful to all those who fought for Classic to begin with.

Sure I’ll admit I’ve had my sigh and meh moments. Let me break it out to you this way. If it wouldn’t been for the Classic community there would be:

4 insted of 6 phases (speaks for itself).

Tradeable loot in dungoens and just that alone I could even hear how the complaints would been on the forums "5th run in a row and no drop cause 4 (friends) others just rolled against me and gave to X person and 20 other topics on it.

Spell batching which took until TBCC for them to change it to 0.1 insted of 0.4 batch window.

No language specific servers on EU as one example. At first there were not going to be English, German, French, Spanish and Russian like we have now. Which we did have back in Vanilla.

On and on. I think you got my point.

One more reason to not give up.

Most people on this thread know by now I don’t like the boost, or the data minded mount that might end up in the Cash Shop.

I do agree they did open the way for a possible floodgate and try make these cash grab things to be normalized so people will be more ok with it.

Ending words on this reply:
Since they already announced it I don’t honestly think they will back down on this but I feel it’s important to let them know how we feel and stand on things. It’s what might happen more to this slippery slope and what may come that I fear.

I mean if we “just give up” then we might as well tell them to add most of the Retail cash shop items and services and be done with it? I think not.

You may be right.
Peace.

With that logic you’re not against people with atleast 1 lvl 58 to boost a new character to 58? They leveled atleast 1 char.

Also wanna congratz you on 99th percentile 1 button mashing. No idea what thread you were boasting in. Amazing skill. Did I ever tell you I once won a race vs millions of others? Yea nobody loses their shiit for being the first spërmatozoon. No idea who you thought you could impress with spamming fireballs and getting the first ignite but nice try xd

You can take the p i ss if you want, but many of us would rather be on somewhat of an equal footing with Classic players than 60 levels behind as TBC-only players.

Or you could just
level? You’ve had 2 entire years to prepare for TBC. We all knew it was coming.

If it took a level boost to convince you to play TBC, you most likely weren’t very interested in the first place, and most likely won’t hang around for very long.

Again, you’ve had 2 entire years to level if you supposedly fear being behind so much. You can start levelling RIGHT NOW and be 60 in time for TBC.

There’s no excuses, you’re a lazy and entitled retail player.

Yeah it’s not like I’ve been playing on TBC ‘other servers’ for the better part of 10 years in anticipation for an official TBC Classic, but how dare I not level up in Classic - a game I don’t like - to show my commitment to the cause.

HURR

more Retailbaby entitlement

Yikes!

Yay! Let’s make the problem worse! Good idea.
Let’s make the leveling zones even more dead, more like
 retail!

Perfect.

I see that you are bhurt for some reason, maybe you like espresso and eat pizza all the time like Luigi and Benito?

  1. I didn’t boast about anything, a sore troll told me “I am trash like my parses” and I just linked my WCL profile. There was no boasting at all, didn’t even comment on it.

  2. Fire mage is less onebutton mashing than most other classes, but as easy as all classes in classic. Big surprise, all class rotations in classic are easy.

  3. Ignite is spread evenly between all mages in the raid by WCL so 99 percentiles aren’t about ignite damage, you should learn how the game works. Otherwise most good mages would have 3k+ dps on every boss.

  4. Why don’t you post on your classic character? Looking at your retail toon, I see why you are so salty. Take a chill pill, its only a game, if you try hard you can be average at something in life one day man.
You don’t need to pay a company for boosts. If you really try and practice, you can one day be like everyone else. Or even if you can’t, it won’t be because you didn’t buy a boost. A boost will not make you better, its your own dedication and effort to get you through the obstacles your destiny has put ahead of you!
See, I’m in a very helpful mood today.

I generally disagree with the paid boost, but you said it very well and you made me to kinda agree with you. If this is where they draw the line, at a one time boost per account, per expansion, then I’m fine with it.
But come on, we all know that will not be the case, people already data mined a newly made Mount for TBC classic

Also leaving this here for the lulz, because this is ActivisionBlizzard we are talking about, the same company that somehow managed to butcher Warcraft 3 by “remastering” it. An 18 year old, already successful game, ruined by the same company that made it, you simply can’t make this stuff up.
From the Reddit post with Blizzard:

Character Boosts are not in keeping with Classic. We don’t want to break any hearts.

Ye it doesnt make sense in classic, but it kind of does now in TBC imo. But yeah, as you said they will and have probably already crossed the line.

How about you level your character, like rest of us did? Do you think you are entitled to skip leveling journey (which btw is easier to do now during tbc, thanks to xp nerf)?

I think for the longevity of the game, this would be best bet. Who needs people who get deterred by the gameplay of the game? If you dislike playing the game so much, I think you ought to not play it.

You will still be disadvantaged, you still have:

  • sh*t gear
  • sh*t mount
  • no gold

Feels like you are in a hurry to get ganked in open world.
I’ll remind you guys again
you will have plenty of time to level right now & during prepatch! If you truly do not wish to be at a disadvantage, then you would be doing it right now.

Why do you think you guys should be able to get on ‘somewhat equal’ footing, when you can’t even bother to level a character to 58-60? What other players have gotten through hours and days of effort
you wish to get the same with just a flick of your credit card?

No.

How is dead different from more dead?

Is that all you can muster?
It seems you aren’t denying it.
