My take on the 58 boost (41yo oldschool wow player)

Because its long, boring and tedious process in Classic. Those who did that certainly didn´t do that for TBC but because they enjoyed the process. Classic leveling is 80% of Classic, whole Classic is about leveling process because it has no serious endgame (except for Naxx). TBC isn´t about leveling anymore. Thats why so many people who are bored to death while leveling in Classic want that boost. They don´t want to play Classic but TBC.

Leveling in Classic is boring for a lot of people, end of story. If you play Classic you enjoy the process. Let those who don´t enjoy it play TBC without spending 350 ingame hours by doing boring content (for them).

Please re-read my message: I’m more than happy to re-level on a fresh server that’s been made specifically for TBC. That isn’t the point in contention.

You went through all of that effort for Classic content, did you not? The fact that you can transfer your BIS Nax-geared chars to an expansion you hadn’t set out to play is a convenience - don’t try to suggest otherwise.

Who are you to say what I levelled up for? Everyone was of course expecting TBC by that point, as classic was an amazing success. We had plenty of reasons for leveling.

What is it with you wanting to paint WoW TBC as a ‘no-leveling’ expansion? How do you think people in 07 got to level 70? That’s right, by leveling.

Classic is 90% leveling, 10% max level content, TBC is 10% leveling and 90% max level content. You got that difference?

Ye im sure everyone in Classic leveled up because of TBC which wasn´t even announced and they were bored by Classic leveling

You still can.
You have plenty of time to level to 60.
Get to it

I don’t expect you to understand, as you obviously don’t.

No I don’t.
How do you think people got to level 60, to tbc content? By levelling.
So you can level up like the rest of us did, or you can just not play the game.

You segmenting the game to tbc and vanilla, as if it’s not one entirety is quite stupid. If you do not like leveling, which is part of the game… then you can just not play it? You have a choice.

It’s like you are a picky eater at a restaurant. You order a pasta dish, then you dump the pasta down the dumpster, because you don’t like it and only want the sauce?

Everyone knew that they would do TBC, come on. In every Blizzard interaction after classic launch they never said no to the possibility of Classic TBC. You clearly haven’t followed classic scene for that long.

I got 1 question, do you enjoy Classic leveling?

I made a lot of friends along the way to 60.

So basically you enjoyed it. And you made friends, nice for you.

There is a huge amount of people who want to play TBC but didn´t play Classic because they are extremely BORED by leveling which Classic is about. And you want to force these people throught extremely long process of Classic leveling which they don´t enjoy.

The difference between these people and you is that YOU ENJOYED THE PROCESS. But for those who don´t enjoy it (and they don´t play Classic) its simply too long. You can stomach being bored for a certain amount of time to achieve your goal. But if that journey is as long as Classic leveling (and we are talking about 350-400 ingame hours) you will simply burn out and stop playing.

So ye, its very nice you leveled up to 60 by yourself. But for YOU it was fun, thats the difference.

I have a lvl 38 hunter and I simply can´t force myself to log in anymore because I am bored every single minute of leveling. Its a game, I should not be bored for the most part of it.

Wrong.
It depends on how much you can play and waste time in the game, but classic has: 1. levelling 2. BGs 3. attunements 4 raids 5. dungeons 6. gold farming
TBC has 1. levelling 2. BGs 3. attunements 4. raids 5. dungeons 6. gold farming 7. arenas.

Thus, levelling is a big part of the content for both of them.

Also, TBC isn’t a separate game. It is an EXPANSION pack. Like a DLC in modern games. It expands the content that already exists, doesn’t make the old content useless or obsolete.
Levelling boosts however, will do this. It will make azeroth, which is 49 zones, totally obsolete and pigeonhole the entire playerbase into 7 zones which are miniscule compared to the old areas.

Everything in the game is boring for a lot of people, but we ain’t paying real money to skip them.

ps: Started levelling my 14th character today. ngl, I boosted 3 of them with my mage, levelled 10 through questing, with my bare hands. Did I get bored sometimes? Yes. Did I get mad sometimes because an undead rogue camped my level 24 alt? Yes. But hardships are also a part of the journey.
You aren’t a MMORPG player if you can’t stomach a bit of suffering in a MMORPG game. That is the sole reason of the existence of this genre.

If you want to hop into a game and start shooting rockets right away, then MMORPG isn’t your genre. MMORPG means that you need to go through everything, develop your character and become powerful over time.

I never said that.

Yes I do. Why do they think they get to skip leveling process? What makes them special from rest of us players?

Never said it was fun.

Sound like a ‘you’ problem.

You know world first record levelling in TBC was 28 hours right? Can you please tell me how TBC leveling is even comparable to Classic leveling?

Maybe they shouldn’t play a MMO if they hate levelling so much then

Leveling outside of World of Warcraft? With a credit card?

WoW as a whole and Classic WoW is a different story  Since TBC the game is max level oriented while Classic is mainly about a journey to 60.

Classic happens to be the base and the core of WoW Classic TBC.
If you hate it so intently, then you ought to go play another game.

Yeah.
Classic wow is for those that enjoy the slower pace of the game.
You got retail if you want go go go mentality

Nope, I will gladly play TBC

Slower pace of the game is fine. Thats why I want to play TBC
