My take on the 58 boost (41yo oldschool wow player)

I say if people are too lazy to play Classic properly, they should go back to Retail where they belong.

Screw the boost. What’s next? LFR?

talking like the fact that you have 10years more than the averager classic player doesnt make you wise, makes you old or probably somebody with a boomer mentality

The fact that logic doesnt fit your narrative, it is your own problem

yes LFR if we follow your dumb logic or the dumb logic of any classiee here that just go from 0 to straw man or slipper slow because they have 0 skill in doing a proper convo

48 yo oldskool wow player here (not that it matters). Agree or disagree with the topic, there was no need for another topic on the same subject. It’s regarded as spam and IF blizzard read these forums this thread would be locked.

so don’t play official tbc and classic where everything is out of blizzards hand Kappa. Join private server and enjoy ! there are plenty well scripted private tbc servers like karazhan <3 or Endless tbc. I am sure they deal better with bots, multiboxers because they not there to milk as much money from players as SHAMELESS BLIZZARDACTIVISION company. For Blizzard activision they always need more and more cash in a way where they just destroy and kill the community and the game becomes just like one of those mobile mmorpg games that nobody cares about. I wouldn’t be surprised if one day they will add auto-pilot.

People still use this?

how do you describe “sarcasm” ? I use this “meme” makes it easy to understand and people know its meaning . Kappa also means " you lying "

Oh i dont speak Twitch lingo

well I don’t speak either that much just use old school “lingo” emotes. Nowadays those new emotes like KEKW are trash and normies like to use it… And twitch chat nowadays just become spamming chat full of emotes or as I say " chat is just full on expression using emotes then words " but you not part of twitch lingo so you good not infected.

Thanks and you are most welcome. I honestly don’t think it can be stopped now since it has been announced but hey, people said Classic will never happen either, so miracles can happen.

What is so mind-boggling is that I see so few who can’t just simply say “so you like the oldschool wow more, all the power to you, I prefer Retail” and such.
That sort of civil talk I would welcome anyday and would not have it in any other way. Those who love Retail, by all means play it. Who am I to deny them that pleasure and fun. But the door does not seem to swing both ways, mostly.

Insted you have far too many who keep telling us we should just pipe down, we’re wrong, update your life or w/e comes out. I mean you don’t see many (if any?) Classic players who fight for the games integrity, going to Retail forums and say things like “well you should remove X and Y and add Z so I can play the game so it fits me, lol are we playing WoW or Pokémon, collect em all pets and mounts” and so on :grinning:

Again, your statements applies to both sides of the spectrum and those who don’t mind the Boost or don’t see it as the end of Classic have been told to either get lost, they dont deserve to play Classic, they are cheaters, been told to go back to retail ( yourself have said this multiple times or atleast implied it )

You only seem to be polite when someone share your sentiments. Which is somewhat understandable to some degree.

Myself I dont think Boost will be the end of Classic as it opends a door for those who don’t want to level through old content, or don’t have the time ( for whatever reason they might have )

And we talk about 1 boost pr. account for a price. Not unlimited.

Ignore Isharj, Gangstar and Tactleneck, they’ve been relentlessly trolling all the other threads on this topic. Isharj is the worst, and all he seems to have to offer are gutter insults and personal attacks.

Point taken and yes I do agree it was maybe a bit unnecessary. You’re right about there are already same/simular topics out there. I just felt those other threads I saw contained more or less just none helping or community building or heck answering the topic at hand. Just the same old insults and bashing. Almost like Kindergarten level “but, but he started, I am the best, you are wrong” etc.

So my aim was to try make one with less drama. Cause Blizz won’t care 1 inch of it. Knew it was a long shot but my goal was not to make threads locked, but to help. I do feel my thread is atleast somewhat better then some others.

But again, yes you made a good point.

Yes that is true. Well we are just going to have to see how good or bad this “only 1 boost per account” would effect the game. It’s what I fear that may come. Once this is out, what’s stopping them from adding WoW token down the line while they are at it.

Then it seems you did missed the posts I was fine with to those who disagreed with me and told so in good manners. Didn’t happen too often, but it did. I guess it’s easy to feel that way when most who disagreed just came out without constructive critisism, just insults and so on. No offence.

You can even take your reply as one of them. I mean you disagree with me and thinking 1 boost per account isn’t going to harm much and it’s not unlimited. That’s all fine and good. I see that as you having a different opinion. Nothing wrong there. Happy now?

Edit: I did notice during this thread and also those who were on other threads doing the same thing. Having a different opinion and/or disagreeing is one thing, the endless trolling and insults is obviously something else, and thanks.

Nothing, that’s ActiBlizzards rights since it’s their game and they can add and remove whatever they want, change whatever they want and totally ignore what the playerbase says.
Blizzard is like any other company, out to make money. Adding boost is one of those ways, tokens too.

I totally understand the rage players feel, but in the end : No money, no WoW.
I rather have boost than no WoW.
( yes I know it’s an extreme angle )

Look at SWTOR, the only reason that game is still alive, is due to super hardcore fans willing to spend money on lootboxes.

Let’s be honest TBC Classic and the “level boost” is only a safety net put into place to attract retail players who are already bored of SL and has been added so these players can simple jump straight into TBC when it’s released as they wouldn’t if they had to level a character from 1-60. Just another way for Blizzard to retain subs before they announce another expansion to get retail players hyped again with the false promise of a good expansion for a change.

Shoo Troll

I read most of posts. Maybe i am stupid but i couldnt understand the entire 58 boost discussion.

Why 58 boost is so much big deal?

There are thousands and thousands of leveling bots in game atm. They pay subs and boost their chars to 60 via botting.

It is no different from paid 58 boost. So actually paid boost is already in game in practice for 2 years.

Please focus on the real problem.

Because cozmos has a view. 1 view. And he thinks that is the way and the only way.
He already got debunked in some other posts so he makes his own. With a few friends who will say/think/gettingpaid to say he is right.

So they feed eachother their ego and they feel good. Cozmoz and his squad of goons are very stubborn and persistant. But evidently also very wrong.

They tolerate no view but their own

They think people are lazy and bots will use it, in fact most botters have already botted to 60 as you say. It’s the “I did it so you must do it too” idea mostly.

I’m not his friend and I’m not getting paid
