Than they shouldn’t introduce mplus in legion
what did they expect?
that people will raid when there is a mode you can play with 4 people and feel meaningful progression?
Whatever time of the day is?

Company like blizzard having all the data and analysts
can’t figure out that is insane to me.

Like BFA s4 was so fun because everyone was able to do anything.
why would you lock your players out of the game?
World 100 mythic guilds do not care that the average joe is having the same ilvl as they do.

Average joe with all that ilvl is never gonna clear mythic raid and get famed slayer.
He is never gonna complete the highest mplus in the world.
The gear is meaningless in this
so why would blizzard try to lock out people from the game by doing idiotic changes like this?
Why are they regressing instead of progressing?
Another example when you compare this season to S2,3,4 of DF
we are not going forward we are going backwards
and it’s worse because even the interrupting and stopping in mplus is backwards.
why did they changed this when the thing before worked?

From the get go the intention of M+ was to provide meaningfull (*) progress to people who cannot commit to a hard schedule like organized raiding. The intent was never to provide equal opportunities at absolute BiS equipment. That’s what a part of the community thought (and hoped) it would be.

(*) I suppose that both of us use the word meaningful with the notion that players progress and see their numbers go up in a predictable and noticeable way through content that feel challenging without it being overbearing. We don’t use it in the sense that “meaningful is BiS and only BiS, everything else is vendor trash”, right?

For the same reason that M+ does not reward the same quality as raiding, delves do not reward the same as M+ and overworld content does not reward the same as delves.

i dunno i sit in tool with my +9 key and wait 20 min without a single tank qing let alone healer

the answer is simple.

make m+ and mythic raiding significantly easier.

just like it was easier in old time classic - wolk

there is a reason why that timeperiod is rememebered so fondly - because even biggest clickers could just join a guild raid and enjoy raid nights.

wow has been to hard for way to long.

success of things like dvelves and mop remix , SoD shows that people are just not interested in challenging content in game.

why would semi decent tank / heal que for +9 when they can que for +10 and get mythic track GV .

Can even make it able to look for a single random player while being grouped as 4 or whatever its literally no difference at all

I dunno why you come explaining that a tank can chose or that someone invites someone whos 2.2 rated rather than 2k for a +6 or whatever. Its obvious. The problem is just how the system is designed right now

And you cant even bring a social aspect as argument against it because most groups start with a “yo” - nobody answers and u either do the dungeon or fail

if you dont see the difference no wonder people leave your keys -_-

M+ is rough right now. Certain tanks just get deleted. It looks like Blood DK and Bear are probably the pug tanks. VDH can vary. Not sure about Monk and Prot Pala. Prot War is ok, but feels clunky to me.

Also doesn’t help that tanks need more healing now and this season is really highlighting bad healers.

Plus the dungeons aren’t that great and lots of mechs are ‘dodge the swirlies’ which people can’t seem to do and people just being hit by unavoidable damage.

Some boss fights on tyrannical are horrible - especially the mech boss (two bosses) on Stonevault - this mostly seems to be an unupgradable key.

It’s gonna be a horrible season.

Oh, and timers feel tight if you don’t have the group dps. Oh and more than one wipe on a boss means your key is done.

this was known well before season started.

the general consesis of beta testing was “what is that”

they tried to kill m+ for a while now - they are finaly succeding.

Because 9 gives gilded crests and is tons easier than a 10 due to one fewer affix.

Or you know just raid if gear is that important to you and the others who cry about it?

Its honestly crazy to read how many people just wants all the rewards for free/easy reach. It feels awesome that something is actually hard to get (crests and lvl10 vaults), meaning you get rewarded for playing good.

There has almost been no difference in what you can obtain as a crazy bad player and really good player for a long time in terms of gear.

Vanilla you saw only the dedicated and good players (relative to the time) with epic gear and a very few, bis.

Now every plebb and his mom has it in some form.

I agree with your asesment.

I think that they made two very big mistakes:

  • The difficulty squish they did in DF. It was a mistake IMO. They should have simply removed heroic and M0. And knowing that Delves would exist (I am certain that they were on early stages of dev at the time), they should have not listened to the “no timer” people.

  • Myth track vault gear on a 10+ is excessive. As Puny already mentioned.

  • Increasing the ilvl difference between what is lootable via M+ and Mythic Raid items.

I am certain I personally could, and will pull off a 10. But I do enjoy playing with a larger pool of people, and I find it unfair for the average player the degree of sweat you need to pull off a Tyranical + Fortified dungeon.

My tin foil hat hypotheses of WHY this is a problem is because of the RTWF and the Hall of Fame.

First because catering to the “pros” makes no sense in M+. Its infinitely scaling. All it does is push the boundary of “max key level” from 12+ (currently) to 20+ (with squish) or 30+ (with out squish). So for them it makes ZERO difference how hard a dungeon is bellow that level, or what rewards it gives.

And second, because these changes seem to have happened after some Raiding dramas in the Mythic community. Notably how in DF the raids were cleared in like… 2 days … while the hall of fame took MONTHS and MONTHS to complete…

Because Blizz tuned the bosses assuming people would show up full myth track gear to those bosses. And then you got the famous 400 to 700 wipes on Tindral and Fyrak.

So they chose the WotlK approach to raiding with gear progression as a way to “soft nerf” raid bosses. Problem is : this only works if you dont have ANY other alternatives except Raiding to get that Myth track gear. Like it used to be in WotlK.

So IMO its time to divorce Raiding and M+. Give it the PvP treatment with 2 trinkets that only work in that mode and give you specific advantages.

Otherwise, M+ tuning will always be at the mercy of Raiders. And that, IMO is annoying.

Because they have nerfed tanks and they require more heals now, I’ve lost the interest in tanking, because if your healer is bad, you can’t easily carry any fights, which was satisfying previously. Plus on higher keys, with a dead healer, it’s a guaranteed wipe now. Also it means the toxicity in pugs is higher on the tank.

Everyone complained about affixes so now they replaced them with worse ones - who thought the death penalty was a good idea? So now, more than one wipe on a boss just means a disband - not many groups want to waste their time finishing a dead key.

It now means pugging is more of a lottery than before and I have friends saying doing lfw or normal raid for gear is easier and more fun.

Not fun is Massive understatement.
M+ at the moment is a toxic mixture of Cancer and Ebola …
