M+ can be pugged with zero communication. Imagine pugging heroic raid past Wrathion with zero communication and organization.

Exactly. If you only do m+ for the loot, just do the one 15 for weekly. Almost never see any corrupted items drop from m+.

wow thats a crazy idea! thats why I raid mythic. Besides doing like +25 dungeons which btw gives no rewards its the only challenging content in the game.
Raiding is bad because there isnât any kind of in game system that encourages macro level participation. There are zero game mechanics that ârecogniseâ the player for situational contribution e.g. Doing something particularly well on a specific fight, or observing anything beyond the scope of âdamageâ or âhealingâ on a mass scale. Getting the numbers to partake in raiding is harder and the content doesnât scale well.
Iâm glad Mythic+ is featuring more prominently, but I would like to see 2 things:

Raids being easier for casual groups to access at all difficulties and communicate in with a better voice / tactics system (I donât know why elitists see this as taboo, itâs just a gameâŚ)

Mythic+ Group finder with an ilevel cap and more dungeonsâŚ
But you get 12 bosses each week in the raid. Meaning you would also have to cap the M+ Lockout at 12. At this point we are allready in a highly theoretical territory because very very few people are doing more than 12 M+ a week for gearing purposes. Sure there might be some and people pushing for score or boosting often do more. But they ainât there for the gear to begin with.
People who get useful gear out of a +11 generally donât do more than MAYBE a handful of keys.
Raiding is still by far the most time efficient way to gear up. (Except for doing exactly 1 M+ a week to get the weekly chest and nothing else. But you also need 10 weeks of giga luck to get 1 item on each slot using this method)
There is definitely a discussion to be had about the balancing of M+ and Raiding gear rewards (aswell as PvP of course). But the answer surely isnât âM+ is EVIL!!!111â
Imo the main problem of balancing the gear rewards comes down to the differences in the difficulty of raid bosses. Wrathion HC is not compareable to letâs say Ilâgynoth HC. Still both are rewarding the same ilvl of gear. This makes it very hard to correctly scale the rewards you get from m+. When talking about mythic raiding this gets even worse. When you compare Wrathion mythic to Ilâgynoth mythic it feels like you are not even talking about the same game anymore.
Having an item range of 15-25 from first to last boss of a raid (depending on raid size) would make the balancing much easier. But you would run into the issue of even worse power creep over the course of an expansion plus people might get upset about the loot tables of each class (Weapon with best stats on an early vs best weapon on one of the later bosses for example)
Right now the balance is ok-ish due to azerith items being far easier to get from raiding + raid unique corruptions (and guaranteed corruptions) but they have to think the whole thing over for shadowlands since those 2 things wonât be there. I hope they find a good balance.

Not at the start of the expansion atleast. Ion said in an interview that the art team is interested in doing T-sets again but they didnât confirm anything regarding the actual T-sets we were used to. (You can do class set art without actual class sets in a gameplay sense).
The dev team talked about the problems they had/saw with the t-sets. So maybe they will come back but atleast the first raid wonât have them (historically speaking since WoD the first raid of an expansion didnât provide a T-set anyway.)
In fact there is. Or at least, there was, when classes were not dumbed down to very specific roles (i.e healing, dps, tanking).
But there still is, to a lesser extend. And it doesnât happen so often.
Trinkets only started getting better at EP for most classes, until then M+ was the source for the best trinkets.
Same with weapons. Getiâikku is still the best weapon if you can get a high ilvl from it (especially if it corrupts.) The only reason weapons from raiding are better now is because they raised the ilvl of the weapon drops from the last two bosses (which not every class has access to mind you) and because they have guaranteed corruption on them. Even then the only one I feel really stands out is the Twilight Devastation axe for melee.
Azerite pieces are in the same situation. Up until they raised the azerite level cap on the last two bosses almost every spec had one, if not two of their best azerite piece coming from the azerite vendor (which is ludicrously expensive if you want to target a specific piece, even if you do moderate to high keys.)
I feel that right now heroic is in an okay place, but only because the gear pieces that drop from there have much higher chance to corrupt compared to m+ drops.

Blizzard alredy confirmed reducing amounth of loot drops including for mythic+. Also dont mistake peole doing mythic+ becouse its fun with people doing mythic+ becouse its more acessible. From past we all k ow thay acessability is THE factor why people do certain content and no how fun it is.
