This scenario you are describing is absolutely unrealistic.
If you have the skill to spam reliably at patch start +15 to overgear HC in 2 weeks, you’re more than likely a dedicated player who does mythic raiding as endgame, or a player who does not really care about raiding and stop at curve to do other things, like pvp, or push serious key.
In both cases, the sense of progression comes from something else than a curve run.
Ny’alotha HC is not tuned for people 460+.My guild is no cutting edge at all, we normally do curve and a few myth bosses but we skipped normal this tier and went in straight to HC, 4/12 the first 2 nights. I’ve checked the logs, and we were all <450ilvl.
Again, it’s the mechanics that makes the difference, not the gear. It has been like this the whole BFA.
This must be 100% trolling on both the lockout aspect and the beeing forced to run M+ 24/7 part.
Srsly sometimes it feels like ppl (like the OP) have nothing else to complain about, so they find some random stuff to post about, then try to make sense out of it. I mean its been several weeks since i even got something useful out of the M+ chest on reset day. So i dont really get where ur getting ur science from
I run 20 and above keys simply cus i like the challenge and not for the gear.
A while ago Preach gaming did a very good video about how much longer it takes to gear up via M+ vs raiding. So your point is flawed alrdy
Yes. Ppl definitely do content for loot not for fun…/sarcasm off.
We do raid with my guild for fun and progress.
Ppl who do 25 keys dont do it for loot obviously. So yes, they do it for challenge and fun and not for the 465 useless loot.
If ppl dont have fun doing content they shouldnt even play the game in the first place.
Basically this. The only way you ‘outgear heroic’ without doing the raid is if you mythic raid and have prepared for it. I mean the method lot were already basically 450+ ilvl (455 cap in 8.3 i think) after eternal palace so can go straight into heroic Nyalotha on release without doing anything gearing wise.
Not to mention m+ has limited ilvl rewards for the 1st week or 2 of the season?
From what i remember of each tier this expansion raids have had the BIS trinkets for all specs. To the point where a 430 ashvanes razor coral trumps every single 475 trinket i could get in current raid or m+. Not to mention raid specific corruptions etc.
M+ does not make raiding irrelevant and there are no issues getting the same ilvl from multiple sources. Imo you should be able to get the max ilvl from each aspect of the game (m+ set/raid set/pvp set)
