This pretty much, I would love for the system to be reworked.
For example we could simply set up our keys “manually”. For example decide which affixes to add and if there is a timer or not. This would then calculate the difficulty and show what loot comes from the chest.
For example:
+10 adds 30 ilvls to what drops on mythic
Affix A +5ilvls
Affix B +10 ilvls
Timers +X items if beaten
Maybe they could add weekly suggestions of combinations that give something extra or quests like defeat a key with the following settings.
Hell they could even involve professions by making them create the items that modify the keys with certain affixes etc.
I would love a system like that, of course the community will figure the best investment/reward combination, but it would be up to us what we do.
What would the challenge be if there was no timer? Wouldn’t it just be like raiding except with 5 people? The timer is just another metric to test how well you can execute mechanics.
Jesus… Let’s just jump right away to mythic raiding without even doing normal or heroic…
The whole hard part of M+ are timers. Without timers there are no challenge. Just a regular dungeon with few affix and mobs with greater health/more damage. If anyone could just jump right away to M15 then everyone will be fully geared in a week. Stop being lazy… M+ and mythic raiding are the only challenging things left in the game… Don’t ruin that too please. If you do not want to do the easier content and put the time and effort in it you do not deserve to do the high end content. I do not deserve to get Elite Gladiator gear if my ratings are 1300 at best and you do not deserve to get +15 gear if you cannot beat +5 on time.
You’re blatantly lying about their difficulty. CC was not needed. People in my guild loved doing heroics with me, especially shadow priests or other classes with no CC, because unlike the warrior MT, I never demanded to bring classes with CC like he did. I just brought anyone that wanted to come, CC was unnecessary.
There is no such thing. It caps out at 10, which is faceroll. If I was unable to do +10 I would uninstall the game in an instant, because then I’ve suffered some kind of brain injury that makes me unable to actually play the game.
You can also just change the amount of drops for challenges out of time. What is exactly “lazy” about doing more dungeons which requires higher skill? Farming 10’s is lazy. Challenging yourself isn’t.
What is lazy about it? Skipping content to get right away to the high end of the content is lazy. If anyone can start running +15 without doing any keys below that it takes away the whole point of doing +15 and the whole point of challenge.
Do you even read what I write? You get more titan residuum. The more titan residuum you get the better azurite armor you can buy therefore the higher key you do the better gear you get.
A +15 is not exactly other content than a +10. It is just harder. And like I also suggested, you can change the rewards for doing stuff out of time. Also the weekly can be changed to the highest IN time.
You know, we just had a shrine 15 with 6 minutes out of time. Afterwards we analysed the run for over 30 minutes and now we want a rerun. But no key! I really do not see how we are lazy by wanting a rerun on a challenge.
Which is not gear dropped in mythic plus. The maximum that can drop, without titanforging or warforging, is 430, no matter the difficulty. You specifically said +15 gear, no such thing exists. 10 is the max.
You can change the reward system. Also 21k instead of 17k is just 25% more. It is not that it is raining azerite gear (and it is totally RNG anyway so some people are done after buying the first 3 pieces).
Surprised this is still going. And damn has it attracted some childish comments.
To anyone saying I want epics and im whining that m+ is too hard, try reading through. I really dont care about mythic plus loot absolutely could not give a damn. I think there is far too much free loot in the game to the point of boredom.
Its not about not being able to do it. Its about not wanting to. I am very aware that there are many people who do enjoy it and im not disagreeing or attacking those people. Aforum is for discussion. Its meant for sharing ideas and thoughts. Noone is taking anything away from you so go and put your dummy back in.
I despair of people who cant have a discussion without crying. Some pathetic people on the internet
I feel mostly the same
I’d like the timer as an option to get +2 upgrades on keystones atleast and extra loot, while making the baseline run without timer, reward 3 pieces of gear (coming back to this) and give +1 keystone upgrade
Second I would make timers stricter to deal with the fact that theyre not default anymore (and cause they’d become harder to hit, up baseline reward to 3 to balance that out)
Keys cannot downgrade, you just get a new key of the same level, leveling down a key after some thought only generates more playtime doing things you dont need to do and considering the baseline is not timed there is also not a lot of sense to keep that in
Once Timed is a seperate m+ features you can start adding extra rewards and Challenges for those who do like it so they dont basically het the short end of the stick and also get a reason to be excited
There’s a few other things this could impact, but I’ll start off by saying its already tedious, every pack is dealt with the same based on the affix
Another thing is that people because there is no timer they’d just do higher Keys to emulate challenge i.e. a sanguine/quacking freehold several Keys higher then what they’d be able to do on Timed exactly because they dont have that timer on it and dont mind spending longer in it
Considering mechagon on launch, I really do not dislike the Idea of a longer taking more challenging dungeons where the Challenge isnt the timer but actual mechanics again
The timer for me removes any desire or fun to want to play M+ dungeons, it just encourages the rush rush mentality of players to get in and out of content as fast as possible and the downside is it means players have no desire to interact with each other in a fun way/casual chat (maybe make some friends along the way) . I personally hate timed events, single best thing to revamp M+ would be remove the timers and put the challenge all into the mechanics of the dungeon, using timers to make people rush is a cheap way of trying to increase difficulty, but at the expense of positive player interaction/experience, and is a contributor to creating toxic environments for players and to the current rush mentality of many players.
