I think it’s more about how poor the scaling on dungeon trinkets has been compared to raid ones, and blizzard’s new hobby of adding busted effects to raid weapons with no cost to stat budget.

It’s about that. + There is nothing new in dungeons gear, same items every season, while in raids we have some op stuff, like folly, font, edicts, corall etc.

While I’m inclined to agree in the broader sense, then I also think that having difference in gear between the content to be crucial. I wouldn’t want the gear to be useless though.

However, I must say that since Operation: Mechagon is coming and it has a lot of interesting procs, then I’m very excited to see how they’ll work while scaled to max ilvl.
So I must say this change makes me happy for the moment honestly.
