Thank you all who could make it for a very lovely event. Possibly the largest selection of races I have seen at one of these events. Wise words said by many who attended and I look forward to the slowly regrowing RP for those on the Alliance side of things as well as to those on the Horde who are attending these events.

Elkeh took wing and let the winds carry him southward. The greeting of the new moon had been a pleasant gathering but he had left it with more questions than expected. What is a cow? and what are moo-men? -perhaps yet another type of Elf or Troll. Moo-men-Trolls? -No, That sounds way too silly to be a thing in any universe! Most importantly, Are the Alliance a collection of perverts with little concept of personal space who compare hoof sizes and go on haphazardly caressing and licking each other’s horns? The thought made the feathers on his back stand on end. If the winds allowed he could catch the morning zeppelin from Grom’gol to Orgrimmar and return to civilization.

Wow, that was a diverse bunch this time! Was a pleasure to hang out with you people again. Special thanks to the serveral Hordies which made an appearance (Glad that antler/horn - licking thing did not cause another battle for Azeroth)

Here are a few snippets from last night:

Much to my disappointment I wasn’t able to join this month, but I am overjoyed to see the team delivered some quality numbers! The Moonrise is a great event, so I hope to see the numbers of participants grow even more. :crescent_moon:

Next month is in our guild calendar, so hopefully there will be no overlap.

That is seriously great stuff, will be great to see more of you - previous members visiting gave the Hand a good reputation so far, which will hopefully help to keep hostilities at bay

Equally excited and terrified to imagine the day the Moonrise has a Horde majority… :joy::joy:

Brushing the pollen of his travelling cloak, his eyes fall upon the sunbleached note announcing Moonrise three moons ago. He looks up into the blue sky and mumbles ‘I wonder, in the middle of Sunseason…’

A slightly Malfurion-wannabe-looking male worgen pins a note to the original post about Greeting the New Moon.

The note reads,

Unfortunately, family matters occupy me at the time of the Greeting the New Moon gathering this Sunday, but I hope the eve of the New Moonrise will see a peaceful, constructive gathering, and that all will remember:

The beast in the shadows might be your salvation…

Best regards, Gordon Morgan.

Nataari breathed a sigh of relief after leaving the bustle of Stormwind Harbour and arriving in the greener parts of town around the embassy, where the Kaldorei refugees have made their new home in the human capital.
The Draenei Huntress marches up to the billboard, followed by her two tigers, and briefly frowns disappointed as Gordons handwritten note drops from the pile, carefully attaching it back. Spotting the original leaflet from many months ago, she pins the in both Common and Darnassian written note back on top of the pile, and reads the familiar content with a happy tail flick. “Just in time… a few more days!”

"Ishnu’Alah, Kal’Dorei brethren and friends and citizens of Stormwind!

Back in the past years, the Nightelves of Kalimdor have invited your allies and kinsman alike to join the old Kal’Dorei custom of the monthly Moonrise, to share your friendship and your praises to Elune. In the light of recent events, your homelands became contested, with many of you finding refuge here on the other side of the world, which was surely no easy choice for you.

Now we invite you to continue your custom, here in Stormwind, in the circle of your friends and allies. Your homelands may be far away and troubled these days, but we are all gazing upon the same moon.

Be welcome to join us on the 1st sunday of this month, and every month, by the old grove above Stormwind Harbour, to share an evening of kinship and reminiscence. There will be food and drink, and a priestess will hold the prayer when it is time to receive the Goodnesses blessing.

The festivities will commence an hour before Moonrise, and everyone is welcome! Leave your grudges and your weapons behind, and enjoy with us a peaceful celebration of Elune, of kinship and of the beauty of the rising moon.

We are looking forward to see you there!"

Moonrise Sunday from 21pm server time! Alliance and Horde welcome, as long as you leave weapons at home. Bring tongue pots in case!

I’m currently abroad and have limited time, but will drop by for an hour or so  Looking forward seeing you people!

So long as my health issues don’t play up, I might bring an alt or two. Playing two chars at once is easier for me than one for some reason. =D Hope that’s okay.

The more the merrier!

Personally I am very happy to finally bring a night elf to a traditional Kaldorei gathering. :crescent_moon:

Hey, remember when I said I’d bring a night elf to this one? Well, I lied.

Either way… Wow! People sure took the “the more the merrier” thing to heart, huh? We boasted some damn good numbers tonight with a healthy mix of both the Alliance and the Horde (and at least one neutral squeezed in between).

The Hand was on its very best behaviour, got to do some valuable networking, and somehow did not collectively punch the Demon Hunter in the teeth. Hell, Nlaea even shared some Valuable Life Advice.

I must say this truce is working out beautifully for us.

Wow, tonight was AMAZING!!
So many people, it really felt a bit like the Moonrise back in the good old days!
Haha, and thanks loads to the Hand for showing up in force - did not count, but felt like a solid 50/50 faction balance. You are forgiven Linaria- who were you, instead that promised Kaldorei?
And as always great speech by Cherwina! Can’t even say how much I appreciate your efforts!

Sorry i had to scurry off, packing for an early morning flight. Screenshots tomorrow!

Ps: Special sorry for Nat’s harshness to that poor orc, that was entirely IC

So great to be back among in the thick of it and seeing both new and old faces. Even better was it to find a chance to bring out a few of the dualities of Silathin and bring out some of the things I’ve based her core on or that have developed in her since her creation.

Thank you all for attending. The Moonrise has become such a wonderful event to host. Bringing together such a wide variety of people and cultures to take some time out and talk with one another. Watching the old ceremonies many years ago, I never thought I’d be in this position. I hope that the Moonrise continues to be a good event for all who attend.

Due to me moving house towards the end of this month, there’s no guarantee I will be back online in time for the next Moonrise. If I can make it, I will but I thought I would give you all warning so that, if there is anyone who would like to give a speech in my absence they have time to prepare.

Again, thank you all for for supporting this event and my sometimes confusion writing
