A new month, a new moon!!

Just realised that the coming Sunday will be the 2nd of August, hence time for another gathering on the Stormwind Cliffs to celebrate the start of the new month!
Everyone welcome, no weapons please.

I’m quite busy this weekend and not 100% sure I can be there, and I believe Cherwina mentioned the same for herself, but I hope that it will be an enjoyable evening regardless.

Don’t forget your tongue pots in case we again have guests from the red side!

I fear I was largely absent/distracted during the first half of the Moonrise, on account of scheming with two elves and a dwarf watching a show, struggling with an addon and later trying to migrate to the bedroom mid-conversation. Apologies if anyone’s /say or /emote directed at Lara went ignored!

That said, I was very happy to see some new/rarely seen faces around! I had a lot of fun scheming and then making sure that all the present Hand members were not being overwhelmed. Almost succeeded, too–if we forget about a brief moment of troll trauma and the fact that a very big cat found himself a sneeze away taking an arrow to the skull.

Lots of fascinating reflections on the -rise event in those few lines, Linaria! I would not have noticed if you were present or absent during the first part of the event. Like you, I would never skulk and scheme with elves and dwarves myself.

I am really fascinated that the common seasonal rhythm seems to see a lull in the activity in summer, yet this year these open events seem to actually attract more RP than usual with old and new faces alike. Apart from some lovely RP altogether, two minor situations of sheer briliance caught my eye but may have gone unnoticed by some. You should not explain jokes and all but these two are deserving of an honourable mention.

1. Heckleberry stumbles into our gathering representing the Stormwind Guard in full colours and politely inquires after the presence of Horde members while standing among them.

2. Vilmar, having the usual drink and minding his own business throughout the evening. While not interacting with anyone, stumbling of to find Beart parked behind a tree, getting scared out of his mind and running of into the distance, while yelling ‘RUN! BEAR!’ Talking about saving the best for last!
