yeah, I just gave up on level 3 TBH (I dont need a legendary that bad for the content I do!).
I was shocked by the difficulty increase between levels 2 and 3 though. 2 was just regular mobs all throughout and on 3 there was 1 or 2 elite mobs in nearly every room, plus much denser packs of mobs. Flet like a big jump and makes me wonder what they are going to put on the highest levels? (they will have to pack it solid with elites…maybe make the floor and ceiling elite too!LOL).

I can assure you in my video that was my first attempt at it.
The power that I stacked is a common monk one. Not uncommon, not rare, not epic.
Some classes have very good powers others don’t
So far frost dk has the worst powers i’ve seen , while Druid has 10x better powers like u cannot even find words for comparison .
Stop making posts about torghast till u played all classes .

On the mobs? The elites hit me for huge chunks of my HP rather than a small chunk.
If my dps? If I had a run in full gear I’d be at the power I was in my video with a lot less anima powers.

“Oh, I got common monk powers, therefore it’s not unusual” means nothing for a class who heavily rely on powers they don’t see every run to accomplish the same. That’s the whole point here.
I’m not undermining what people are doing here, it’s a feat, they should be proud of it, but using it to lecture people who aren’t the same class or had the same powers and boss as to what they should find difficult is nonsense. This “if I can do it so can you” only works in a world where every variable otherwise is similar. In that situation it is absolutely a L2P issue. But otherwise it’s a skewed picture.
Even covenant powers make a difference, and if you have to rest on “well yeah I mean if you choose X spec and y covenant then you can do it” you’re already conceding the case you’re portraying is different from the one you’re talking to.
It’s irrelevant whether people are using suboptimal specs or not. Even if they are (and find it more difficult as a result) saying “yeah well it’s easy if you’re Y spec” is irrelevant, they were never discussing Y spec In the first place.
I did two runs yesterday
First i gave up because boss had annoying adds
Second run it went smoother i died few times because of packed elite mobs But my powers where better I had the skill that absorb the shadow aoe and healed me And a skill that reflects some shadow dmg i get back
You maybe just had a lucky run but you wont always get that even if you are a hunter
If you wear gear at 170 ilvl it is absolutely a L2P issue

If your point is that some classes and specs have a more or less difficult time clearing layer 3 then yes absolutly.
The game isnt balanced around torghast. As a matter of fact torghast is supposed to be unbalanced to some extend. And while balancing raiddps is/should be easy for blizzard if they wanted to balance around torghast they would have to change how classes work at their core which is why they seem to be trying to do it around anima powers.
But if your point is some of the weaker specs are not capeable of clearing layer 3 if they have even somewhat decent gear 90% of the times even with bad anima powers then no.
It was the same with proving ground, mage tower, horrific visions, people will find any excuse for their poor performance other than accepting they aren’t as good as they think they are. Torghast 1-3 layers really aren’t hard solo.
