Why there are not name change options? I made this name as I could not think about something better.
Now I am joining dungeons and nobody says my full name, they just say Um…

Option 1: Delete character and remake it with a name you want.
Option 2. Transfer server and create an alt on your target server before you transfer with the same name. The character you transfer will be forced to change their name
There is an option 3 which will offer your current character a free name change.
- Delete the character (make sure you don’t have a wait time on restoring deleted characters, otherwise you’ll have to wait).
- Ask someone in your guild to create a character with the name of your current character (once you’ve deleted it), they may need to log in play a little.
- Restore your character and enjoy the free name change.
Edit: Blizzard should just add a name change service for classic, would make some money and in terms of ignore lists they can use player GUIDs to make sure ignore lists and friends lists are maintained properly.

No they shouldnt. If you can name change you can get away with scamming on your Main and avoid blacklists on the server discords. This is the reason classic is good.
I can restore deleted characters? How!?
Except there is a wait time of 60 days before someone else can use a name.
OP, you could always report your own name and hope blizzard will give you a change.
There is an icon in the bottom right of the character selection box. A circular arrow.
I can see that that in retail… But not classic
If you have all your 10 character slots used then it won’t appear.

Well this must have been broken when i did this a week or so ago.
Maybe read what was said - they can use player GUIDs to maintain lists. An addon can easily keep track of player GUIDs if you want to set up a tracking addon yourself.
I don’t know if GUID can work every time.
Let’s say if you give some1 the mats to make you expensive stuff like Lion helm and right after the trade they log out and change the name, you would still be able to track him down?
Because if you can’t there’s the problem.
This means everytime you make such a trade or argue with someone you must look first at the GUID. Many time you’ll forget or won’t have time to do it.
If you made a record of the GUID for the player you traded with (using an addon), you could reference that GUID in the future to see if you’ve encountered that player. A simple addon could present this data into the tooltip whenever you mouseover someone.
GUIDs are created every time you create a character and are unique (as far as i’m aware, they simply increment by 1 per character creation)
Probably not but if you agreed to it in chat you report it to Blizzard and they can track it 100% and get you the stuff back.
Agreeing to something like this on discord will not get you your mats back.
