Hi all, I’ve made a post like this in the past, but I still see no reason why US has one, and EU doesn’t.

English is one of the most widely spoken languages, so don’t come at me with this language barrier thing.

You don’t like the reason but it’s the languages of Europe issue.

I’m puzzled as to what your issue is here?

Are you having problems with people having non English character names?

or the random name generator?

i used it on PTR and got any issue with that.
if people is not happy they can regenerate a another name :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

There’s always fantasynamegenerator you can use!

But yeah, it’s probably due to the different languages or something.

From what I remember the problem comes from when the randomizer generates a name that ends up being offensive particularly in a non-english language and Blizzard didn’t want to deal with all the “Why was my name reported the name randomizer gave it to me!” but who knows.

The last time i used a random name generator, i got on Phaela. Which i customized to something more me, ended up on Psjaehla. Since my ‘friends’ call me a burger always anyway… my new priest is now called Paella :sob:

I’m dissapointed that I can’t use the name generator that is already ingame in the us client, in eu. This game is over 15 years old, many names are taken, and sometimes I need a little help; and sure there’s sites. But I do like the names the wow name gen comes up with a lot.

Bored of end content so I wanted to roll another alt, but names…

I just don’t fully understand how it would be a bad thing to add this. Maybe people will complain that it’s not in their native tongue, but I’m Dutch and you don’t hear me QQ that there aren’t any Dutch names in the generator

Zuid Afrikaans is just poorly written Dutch xD
