Naming weapon crafts

Blizzard let the crafter who crafts the weapons be able to name them please

Bad idea because too many people would troll and create inappropriate names.
Or hell, they’d give their stuff names that break lore/immersion. I don’t want a glowing sword being called ‘Anakin’s Lightsaber’ to be a thing in WoW, honestly.

Or maybe allow the craft order to allow name implementation for the person receiving the order.

I’d love that, as a subtitle. My paladin wielding ‘Helios, the burnished edge of holy light’.

Sadly, Tah is right though. I’d ask for that and get ‘Swordy McSwordface’ back. Or people would be running round with ‘Tallywhacker, my big tool”.

Yea this could work. Let the customer name it. That way you wont risk getting something named you don’t identify with. Good idea.

Stop asking selfish things for a fad…

This forum …

Of course many people will troll by naming a weapon with racist, hateful, sexual etc things

There is no week on this forum without topic for "please add x allied race (often about dumb race like gnoll or murlok)
Or other fads

Allow the person receiving the craft to name it. Just a small subtle change that could be fun.

What about SulfUwUras ?

WHy? Because people´s usernames aren’t already trolling hard enough?

I get the idea, but with this community, you might as well shut the game down tomorrow before Interpol inspects every account for promoting Kiddie-you-know-what or something similarly vile.

You know what Ser Bron of the Blackwater says about people who name their swords…

Ser Bron is a top bloke, but to be fair he says that about pretty much everybody.

No, just… no.

When one of the outcomes of an idea is people calling a weapon “Stabby mcStabFace” (And the other possible outcomes being so very much worse, as in slurs and expletives), you know it’s a bad idea.

We already had a pretty similar request here and the answers are basically the same. Nice idea, impossible to execute without people take the piss out of it.

I’d have to agree, you’ve only got to see how many inappropriately named pets are out there already.

Surely if you’re into RPing you can just call your weapon whatever you please, doesn’t need an in game label.
