Would it be a far stretch to be able to get a Nathanos style undead customisation?
I guess its just the Human rig with different customisation. With the Velfs getting belf stuff would it be too much to ask. Technically the Forsaken used to be human and to an extent elves. They could just stick a quest in that lets you do the same ritual that created Nathanos’ new form.

Well, Nathanos is a unique case among the Forsaken, as he was changed via a very potent and taxing ritual of flesh transfer which involved a powerful Valkyrie sacrificing part of her own essence. Not sure if they could make that type of undead common.
Personally, I think it was a mistake to make him look like that in the first place. It’s like they don’t want the Forsaken to have a Forsaken-looking main character or something.

I don’t think that’s possible as the poster above have mentioned. I mean I’m not very educated when it comes to Forsaken lore, so I think he knows better than me.
However a straight back Forsaken is very possible. The ones in Dazar Alor are proof of that
And there are other Horde races who got the Straight back option. (Orc)

It would have to be the human model with a paint job. And we don’t need more model swapping.

Can we really say its not possible. They said they would never give the belf model to alliance or the high elf options. They opened a can of worms lol

We’ve got enough sexy races. Let’s keep the Forsaken gross.
It is certainly possible, but I would rather see more gross Forsaken options than more Human ones. I want ones with missing arms, half their head blown off, an eye or two hanging down their face. I don’t play Forsaken but it would be an honour to kill one looking like that.
Who said that? If it’s Ion then you shouldn’t take his word on customization or lore.
He even said “blood elves will not get blue eyes because it doesn’t make sense” but this angered the horde community, and 2 weeks later blue eyes for Blood elves was announced.
The newer interview on customizations confirms that more High elf stuff is coming:
“This is another place where there was a race, High Elves, in the game which hadn’t really been represented on player characters. Blood Elves were the closest, but had felt green eyes. It was an opportunity where we had a number of elven races, and we could tie it back to their roots, letting players choose where they want to align and what fantasy to play out. We did have a lot of discussion about it, ultimately we might do more in the future, but for now we’re providing the option to have a few High Elf customizations available”
No no no, it doesn’t work like that.
Look, I’d be fine with forsaken getting such a model, but… what do the alliance get then? There must be a balance.
Forsaken are Humans just dead so wouldnt be too far a stretch or that far from lore.
Its just a dead human model in a less decayed or scrawny state.
Its Blizzards lore and im sure they can find a way for other Forsaken to go through the same ritual as Nathanos, he could’ve just paved the way. After all, we are the special champions lol.
I mean in lore its only Tyrande that’s the Night warrior through special ritual but we can have night warrior eyes on Night Elves, is it really that different?
Void Elves, High Elves, Blood Elves technically are the same base race just messed about with different magic.
Technically the Nightborne are Night elves just subject to different magical conditions.
Undead are the same as Humans just subject to different life conditions.
I mean Sylvanas is just a high elf skin with undead customisation, skin colours and tattoos and to my knowledge and i could be wrong that she just returned to her body when she broke free and it hadnt decayed that much. I dont even think it would be a stretch to add Elves and Humans really to the Forsaken.
I actually think they should add the skinny humans, large humans and standard human models as options for Worgan, Kul Tiran, Undead and Stormwind Humans.
Personally id like to see more focus on the non elf races on both factions, it may make them more attractive to play.
I cant see them adding undead options to any of the ‘Elf’ races or Dark Ranger when you could give alternative models to the Forsaken who the Dark Rangers would likely be aligned too.

While copying the Nathanos model exactly might be a biiiit of a stretch, they could at least add the option for a straight back, since those do exist. With the new boneless options, it’s quite easy to make an ‘intact’ looking undead. If they could stand upright and maybe have a body option to maybe have a little more muscle, you could get close enough. And I do think an option for a little more muscle would be a neat thing, since if you wanted to have a character that was a little more, um, ‘fresh’ when they got risen, there’s no reason for them to have decayed to the point they look you could snap them in the middle like they do.
It would be nice if they gave forsaken and trolls the option to be upgright.

Exactly, if you wanted to play a decayed monster with bones and no jaw and be all hunched over then you could but if you were a freshly dead human you would have a bit more options.
If they gave the Kul Tiran human model to Forsaken you could have a hulking monstrosity.
I just wish Blizz had went down the sub race route rather than allied race.
Right you want to go a Thalassian elf. Ok choose your sub race, high elf, blood elf and void elf. Depending on what sub race you want to play it dictates faction, customisation options, racial and heritage armour.
Want to go a human, ok Pick a shape, large, skinny and standard. Then pick which human nation you want to represent and this dictates customisation and heritage armour choices.

Yes! Kinda like the race system in Lord of the Rings Online. Okay, you wanna be an Elf? Is that from Rivendell, Mirkwood, somewhere else?
I’m not against the idea of having to unlock particular races but if they could rework it into a subrace system that has options that require unlocking, it would be better.
I feel some races, because of the new customization, are being stiffed out of a heritage race.
I wouldve loved to have played a Wildhammer dwarf. Technically you can now but you stuck with iron forge dwarf racial mounts, racial and hertiage armour.
They shoulve just done it like ok so you want to be a dwarf. Choose which sub race you want. IF Dwarf, Dark Iron and Wildhammer. Each race could have its own heritage armour, customisations, mounts and racial. The base race beforeyou even customise would have a base set of models and customisations that when you pick your sub races can be expanded on or add to the base models.
So say dwarves in general have a bushy beard. Dark irons would have the choice to customise it with flames and the colours that suit them, Then there could be a few beards that isnt an option for the other subraces.

Undead need better hairstyles. My undead has to be bald cause every hairstyle looks stupid
Beards and side burns. I imagine a Warlock, hunched over with a scraggy grey beard. Could even wrap up a long beard with iron spikes.
I dont understand why Kul Tiran didnt get all three human models. They all wander about Boralus.
It would then just be an RP choice then for what nation you want to be.
long beards would look good on death knights as well
