Archmage Angela Dosantos is already being griefed, and will probably remain griefed for quite a while. It is currently impossible to complete naxxramas attunement, as the NPC is “not there”. I know where it is and how, but wont bother explaining it here to avoid possible further griefing in other servers.
Just make her non-reactive to any form of combat/PvP, please.
“Lol you have 2 weeks”, sure, but with the server I play on, griefing like this is apparently a way of life and will for sure continue all the way up to Naxx release and beyond.
It was a bad idea to make it possible to enable “at war” for Cenarion Circle/Argent Dawn. I imagine Blizzard will “fix” it by making the NPC unattackable in a matter of weeks.
Indeed, it also happened in Vanilla but at those times the servers were small enough to keep these jerks in control and anyway they were few “creative” souls that toyed with the game.
It was even funny back there because the general attitude was more relaxed and you didn’t have ppl doing this 24/7.
By the way, I haven’t read the game rules, but I think willingly disabling important game NPCs such as this one for a long period of time is bannable, regardless of whether the realm is PvP or PvE.
The world on a pvp server isn’t anything close to your safe space where you can do whatever you want. You call it griefing but in reality it’s just the main content on a pvp server. You should be glad that it is that way because it’s free content for you that you don’t get on “boring” pve servers. If the enemy faction is not letting you do something then do something against it or leave it.
World pvp in phase6 will be insane because both factions will share the same flight path and there are only two guards there… These guards are nothing compared to the guards in Silithus. EPL will be the prime area for open world pvp and it will be super hard to even get into Naxx and start the raid on time… forget about worldbuffs. I play on a pvp server because i like it that way.
I think the issue here isn’t PvP in a PvP server, rather the hiding of the attunement NPC via the use of the “At war” feature and driving it to a spot it isn’t supposed to be.
Well everything turns into a pvp issue on a pvp server because other players are the reason for the troubles. That means you have to do something against these players (player vs player).
Other players caused that NPC to be somehwere else. The way this problem should get solved is by killing these players and by guarding the NPC from such players. This is content on a pvp server. If it’s a player from your own faction then just talk with him or make him famous like a ninjalooter…
There so many people on pvp servers who don’t realy belong there but at the same time i’m also glad that they are here because it’s awlays good to have some victims for some drama. Even in my own guild (mostly pve players) they cry about getting killed by rogues in their own city and then they ask how bored that these rogues must be… No, these rogues just play the game and they have fun! Not like those raid logging pve item collectors who have to come to the forums to cry about griefing…
This can be done only cross faction and in PvP realms. Screwing up your own faction or doing so in a pve realm is the issue some1 wants to be considered griefing.
You’d literally have to collude with the enemy faction in order to “guard” the NPC from these players.
How are you going to kill your fellow alliance/horde players that are “PvPing” the NPC exactly? lol.
