Title. Even with the +30% hp and dmg buff its still way too easy and boring. For example the little spiders hit tank for 300-600 dmg, even in Classic Naxx40 they hit for 2-3k to plate.
It’s insane that 10man mobs and bosses hit way less than 5 man heroics and those are piss easy.
You dont have to add flat dmg/hp to every boss, like Patchwerk or Kel’Thuzad but most of the other bosses could use some extra tuning.
It’s not fun to have a raid that is easier than 5man content. Just took a look at the values again and make it a bit harder, lets not repeat the mistakes why everyone hated Naxxramas in original wrath.
You should use other terms than boring, fun etc.
Things that aren’t boring are entertaining and entertaining things are most often less with how you interact with it and more how your 5 senses are tingled.
Things that aren’t fun are serious things, where laughing is less likely.
What you’re after is endorphins and dopamine which is your brains way of rewarding you when you are successful.
Disagreed. I am a casual gamer. I dont min/max like some of you. I just play the game to have fun and I don’t care if I finish my raid 10 min after you because I don’t have all pre BIS gear.
Back in Wotlk, we all started with some gear, but very far from what people have today. Of course it’s Easier now when so many people prepare themself to rush the thing as fast as possible
Just wait for Ulduar and the HM.
If you just buff the hell put of naxx it just becomes tedious, not fun as it doesn’t have many mechanics.
You can buff a punching bag all you want, it’s still going to be a punching bag.
P1 is intended to allow for people to find what they like class/spec wise AND to get comfortable raiding with chosen spec/role.
Making P1 hard only deters people and leads to faster burn out. Meaning; good luck recruiting and maintaining a heroic raid squad for T8/T9/T10.
Its like in PvP, imagine if you your only choice was 3v3? People would not get into PvP at all. BG’s ease people into it, after that you dip your toe into the water with 2v2 AND then, when you feel ready, you go to the big show of 3v3. Fore those wanting harder modes, 5v5.
Entry level raids are supposed to be easy. Heroics are supposed to be easy.
In TBC some heroics were harder than T4 content. In WoTLK there isn’t a single heroic that is harder than T7 content.
Just saying that the tuning is complete garbage. I get it that you give them all 30% buff, but you should adjust them in specific way. Everything hits like a noodle, or dies in 2seconds. Patchwerk 25man might be the hardest boss in the raid now, because he already had huge health pool and hits very hard.
Now you actually might need 3 tanks and 6 healers only because of that fight.
no its not, its the PEOPLE that “optimized” the fun out of this content …
raids originally were NOT meant to be “BiS only, all consumables, top enchants and perfect composition”
they were meant to be run with half geared bunch of randoms that didnt give a toss about BiS gear …
so yes its too easy for tryhards that think they have to have the best gear there is to START clearing the content when Naxx 10 was supposed to be doable in gear from leveling and bit of heroic…
If you know what a video game NPCs AI is going to do, any sort of challenge would be from nonsense.
Like if bosses had a 1% chance to 1 shot tanks regardless of stats.
At the end of the day, this is a game you’ll have put thousands of hours in to at the minimum.
Look for a challenge in a game you never played.
You could grab the best players of single-player RPGs in the world(lol) and they would have no idea what they’re doing if you gave them a level 80 character and told them to do a heroic, nevermind Naxx.
Tell me you’re an elitist without telling me you’re an elitist… Seriously, let people enjoy content at their own pace.
Not everyone min-max, not everyone is a meta-slave or a sweaty boy, some of us, actually enjoy having fun without having to treat the game like a second job.
Even in original WOTK new Nax was always easy - it was designed as an introduction raid (much like Kara in TBC) to learn and help guilds/teams develop and settle down. Making them into something different is just “I’ve got a Big 1” attitude. If fact all of the raiding in TBC was easier than previous.
I dont know why some people are crying about min maxing. I did all heroics in quest greens when I dinged. I didnt have gems, enchants or crazy gear for Naxxramas, just what I got from dungeons.
If you have done the raid you can clearly see how undertuned most of the bosses are. Or how hard Patchwerk is compared to the rest of them.
TLDR; Bad tuning, you cant just use flat 30% increase on all bosses. They need to be tuned individually.
Buffing a raid after release is something Blizz never do and should never do, because it doesn’t make sense for a raid to be easier for those who do it early.
Did Naxx need more buffs before release? Idk maybe yes maybe not, doesn’t matter now.
