This will be obvious to some, but from experience, and reading posts on here… not obvious to many.
Both sides have equal opportunity at start of battle. But right now, there’s a good chance your enemy doesn’t know the optimum strat and you can win easy. Later, more will know strat and the battle will be challenging more often.
The strat to win is simple.
SPEED

Speed - start an lfg raid the very moment the battle starts. You can get a full raid within about 2 mins. Helps if you already had a group going, makes your raid more likely the go to one.

Speed - encourage your raid to distribute to all flags, FAST. Remind them to call incoming, and watch map and chat, to fight at flag, help other flags. All five flags = quick win within minutes, while your enemy is floundering because they didn’t know the strat.
Yep, sometimes they know the strat, and more difficult, awesome!
Sharding
I have not experienced it in a battle yet, that I’m aware of. But if you shard out, or another raid shards in, that’s just luck of the draw. Both factions are subject to same dynamics. In competition, this is called a ‘curve ball’, and makes things more interesting. Remember, you can’t win em all… but there’s first, and there’s last
