I just don’t want the main window on low settings. I thought it would be okay because I used to 5 box on this card, but am only 3 boxing now.
+60% performance that’s huge yeah, very good card too. If you do decide on one let us know, can shop around and find the best one. Not all 2060’s are the same, some will be like 5% better, worth doing a bit of research.

The only thing that worries me is that it is a 6gb, rather than the 8 Shadowlands is asking for.

Look for used GTX 1080 Ti, RTX 2070 Super, 2080, 2080 Super. New or used RX 5700XT. In like 2-3 months prices on those cards will go down due to Ampere and Navi 2. Also new upcoming RTX 3070 or some Navi 2 cards could be an option

Then look at when sales begin for RX 5700XT and 2070 Super or 2080/2080 Super. Next month, just before Shadowlands is the release window of some new cards that will force price changes.

What is making my card so bad btw… I am rubbish at knowing stuff about cards.
It’s 8gb ram they recommend (you have 32gb), not 8gb gpu ram. A good 6gb ram GPU can destroy a lower end 8gb one.
Honestly yours is just a weak older card now. Nothing wrong with it, was just a cheaper lower end card 4 years ago. You pay for what ya get with GPUs, go cheap they don’t last long like 2 years, around the 4 year mark they start to struggle (with keeping up with min specs for new games). Where as a high end card will see ya through alot longer.

Why won’t you use it? I mean if my card can handle what I need it for I don’t get the urge to change it.
Hell, as some adviced before, dont upgrade now, if its still working and chances are it will be enough for SL too. As for upgrade itself, what your budged? Ive seen u said something 350 is much in this situation, understandable, but in case thats true and u wanna lower, keep in mind that for about 150-200€ you can “upgrade” and have gpu like 5% better than yours, which imo is a huge waste. So, wait till u can, there will most likely be reduced prices for 2k series ( or u can get some second hand but carefull there) and when situation allows it, spend like 500-600 for something futureproof, which will increase your gpu by like 80-120% (benchmarks) sincu u run rx480 8gb your mobo should handle pretty much all newer card ( unleas u run some old unoptimal mobo for your curent card) if u dont go for like 2080ti or so psu should handle it too , cpu is all righty and it wont bottleneck any gpu (again, unless u go for “strongest” ones) hope this helps at least a bit.
