This topic negatively impacts my inner dialogue making me feel more depressed, dungeons are way overtuned right now, and here is some one talking about nerfing prot paladin when i am litterally getting 1 shot if i lose my focus even for 1 second, i am really starting to hate tanking especially for pugs.
Tankin in PUGS is wild. You wipe = flame the Tank even if is not his fault
There are getting adds body pulled from dps = Tank why you pull this
Healer Dies in AOE = Tank why you tank it here
bro got outdamaged by a protection paladin or hes a brewmaster player and felt frustrated , get off the internet bro if you gonna cry over prot finaly being in a good spot after we ran out of mana using wogs and did no damage , prot paladin is in the same row as protection warrior , hes still squishy so its a matter of time before people repick prot warrior for higher keys , now its just damage wise prot paladin is ahead in damage and utility , i mean utility was always the same since df , im still sitting here coming to forums to read some actual human beings posts , then there is a random dude asking for a tank nerf , never seen someone crying for a tank nerf thats a first timer i guess.
Yes lets nerf it rather than buff the ones that lack behind. Very âsmurtâ.
Balance wise 3 of the 6 Tanks are fine (Pala, Warrior and Druid). So your âgeniusâ plan of nerfing Prot Pala would change nothing for the lower 3 (DK, Monk, DH) and not affect Warrior or Druid at all in terms of performance (they can run the same key levels as Pala already)
If you want balance then you buff DH, DK and Monk and not nerf the upper 3. And to top it off Blizzard doesnt care about stuff that is post Vault requirements and they have stated that numerous times.
tanking in pugs is not different then playing dps in pugs.
if other do mistakes - you wipe.
and most of time there is very little impact you could have.
only way single players could have real impact is if they had for example infinite interupts / stuns to cover everyone else
and just like dps learn by doing tank also learn by actually doing the dungeon - because watching guides dont teach you most important things - like which pulls hurt like hell and where you absolutely have to have certain cds.
if you play dps and have omni cd you often can only sight when tank goes down while having their major cds up and there is nothing you can do .
or if you see peopel doing cardinal mistakes - like prot not having uptime on shiled block , dks not having high uptime on vampiric blood etc etc .
there is nothign you can do to help them - because you would have to effecitvely couch them on discord
I suppose the âb-wordâ when talking about gameplay is now banned too kek. And they wonder why nobody takes the mods serious anymore (or hasnt done so for years even. But hey, stuff like the Marriage thread being up for 9months until it auto closed is A-Okay).
Prot does too much damage in light weaver in keys, but itâs also extremely flimsy in raids. Feels like the spec could do with a little give and take to even it out a bit.
Yoda are doing 15 and 14 keys on his Bdk.
And that is not with the same group comp as he play with on his Prot paladin or his warrior and he is playing with different comps.
If he optimized more i am sure he would do higher keys with the alt
I already talked about him, or whoever was the highest BDK in the world atm, in a previous post (which got deleted because I dared to say its a skill issue and oh noes feelings might get hurt with facts for the OP because Yoda well, did way higher keys than OP did on the same class. While still saying BDK need a buff (can be argued with the people that actually main them at the very top)).
Ah did not know there was things deleted.
Yoda is not number 1 blood dk but he is number 1 prot paladin and was number 1 prot warrior before he changed to paladin (and the warrior is still number 5 in the world for prot warriors)
So in general just a very good m+ tank.
There is a big chance bdk needs a buff but also bdk is extremely hard to balance and not make them op.
So how to do it is not an easy task,
But yeah this is more a skill issue then a class issue.
Hence why I added it. Apparently the mod took offense in me calling a certain type of gameplay (gameplay, not the person) something that requires less active braincells in comparison. We could argue about the skill issue part (there are people that do way higher keys on the same spec tho so it can still be applied) but not about my response to lillith.
A potential rework may be needed if that is always a concern when talking about buffing/nerfing said specs.
