Why would you even care about that? Do you play +16? If you do, which I doubt, you are omega competitive those kind of people don’t care about classes. They just pick what’s best. Meanwhile you have actually every tank being able to tank +16 right now, except bdk.
Buf if you are not top 0,0001% player who somehow cares about perfect tank balance, what is the point? Every tank can tank everything right now up to +15. Some are better in some dungeons than others. Is that not good enough?
Why would you care so much what the top of the top players are doing? For tanks right now the season is great. Every tank is viable for pretty much everything.

By your logic we should not balance raid dmg because all the classes cleared heroic and mythic. Did you clear the raid ? then your class is viable and we shouldnt care that you are last in dmg like balance druid always cry. Game should be as balanced as its possible. Raid wise and m+ wise.

Your comparison is flawed, in logic, ironically. If the top DPS is doing (just as an example) 10 million damage but the bottom one 5 million, not having clear difference in utility while the raid requires it, then you can of course balance out the damage.
But that’s not the thing with tanks right now. Every tank is good right now and provides something of value. Maybe with exception of Brewmaster even tho they are extremely chill to heal. But then again, your logic would be Brewmaster is fine because it cleared +16 key which is the highest right now, no?
And tanks in M+ are super well balanced right now, that’s the point. Your entire argument is based on the TOP of the TOP and that not every single tank is doing +16, even tho most of them do. So…? Why do you even want this perfection for the top of the top players? I am sure you are not playing at this level because if you would, you’d not even bother with the balance question… especially not at the current state, since it’s good.
And for the majority of the key levels that are done the most, every single tank is more than just viable and performs very, very well. So what exactly is your issue? That pro players are playing prot palas at the top of the top atm? Why are you so bothered by it? Does it affect your gameplay really that much? I highly doubt it.
Yes, but given you play M+ a fair bit you should, without someone else telling you, realize yourself that an endless game mode will never be balance in a game like World of Warcraft.
Even if Blizzard balance tank for +16, then at +20 you will have the same problem again.
Raid and Mythic + are a completely different thing to handle and you should know that.
Blizzard should make sure that every class and spec can comfortably reach the max reward keys.
Beyond that, it’s competitive environment and if i i would go there, i would start to think more about group comp and what it works best for the given season.
Again the game need to be balanced around M+10 and Mythic Raid there is every class fine. All above are for tryhards who wanne push high as possible for nothing then score.
