Why would you assume I don’t play PvP just because of one toon? We all can use alts on the forums.
Edit: Don’t refrain from answering reasonable questions on the basis of “hurr durr you don’t play PvP on that toon so you must know nothing”.
I believe the honor grind is in place to give people a reasn to do random, epic and brawl bgs.
From that point of view, I understand. In my opinion, bgs are a staple part of WoW, moreso that arena. And WoW players have proven time and time that they indeed need a carrot on a stick to do content.
With that said, Blizzard should expand on honor system - more toys, titles, mogs and achievements. Then reduce the honor grind, or remove it all together.
What should make me think this character has anything in common with the one you use to spam forums with your uninformed opinions?
Different achievements, different honor levels. This troll char isnt even part of the alts and the priest already has a monk alt in the same guild, so why would you make 2 monk alts you dont even play? Considering you sound bold and stupid enough to fake somebody elses character and posting it here I call it a lie. But whatever, I literally dont care if its true or not.
I just did few random bgs on my 2 aliance chars and noted the amount of honor I received:
1130 Silvershard mines first win
1304 twin peaks first win
977 EoS win
959 WSG win
1159 AB win
1208 AB win
1266 gravity lapse first win
1188 gilneas win
Since I did pure random with many 30k hp heroes, I think its fair to say that even losses gave me around 600 honor. I get this for a victorious match as horde!
Keep in mind this is not a honor weekend, which gives you 50% increased honor gained buff.
Lets assume you get 1100 honor per win. Considering you obviously have friends to play arenas with, also functional guild, get them together, make a premade and stomp enemies with your skill and gear within 5-10 minutes. Thats 6,6k honor per hours without the 50% bg week bonus.
I cant see any 9.1 updated full conq set cost info, but I assume its around 100-110k excluding a legendary item slot.
Assuming you did not get the rating within few days, lets say you get 2 items from the vault for 2 weeks. That reduces this grind by thousands, up to tens of thousands if you are lucky and get your weapon. These items are already upgraded
Also every character has seasonal quests in 40men bgs like winter grasp and Ashran. Thats another like free 3000 honor.
Weekly quests, assume 2 weeks journey for the bis gear, so 2* dunno 2k+ honor for participating? Also RBG gives you crapton of honor, while you do the weekly q.
The first guy mentioned 150 games so assume it to get 2100, then its 15k (few daily wins, losses included) honor from playing arenas.
If you count it all, I expect it to be like 50-60k honor required to farm, give or take. Some losses, some daily win bonuses, some weekly bonuses.
That all is WITHOUT THE BG WEEK BONUS I was talking about. I dont know how blizzard counts this 50% dmg bonus, if its multiplicative or additive, I dunno, their wording always sucks ***. Just do the rest of the research yourself. I expect it to reduce the grind by 1/3 or 1/2, which is perfectly doable in premade within hours, days max.
I have nobody to play with atm, so I do random crap and gear my alts and if you use all the mechanics the game offers you instead of just crying about everything, it is actually not as bad as you make it to be. Do I like the system? NO. I just adapt and try to make it less painful by using the tools I have. Ive made 2 ali chars, dinged 2 days ago and I have most of the grind behind me, despite I go full solo yolo aliance experience. You can do it easily if you have ppl to play with.
Again this is aliance experience. Horde with 15 mins que and half of honor rewarded have it waaaay harder.

Sure, but connected accounts share such things. I have my own 2 accounts as well. Unless you would for some reason keep it completely separated, surely for 100% legit reasons, lol.

Arguments? I only asked for you to give a rough estimate for the timeframe you so boldly kept out of your post, I quote:

In order to actually help your case you should actually have presented a number within your post. For example: “X amount of hours per day during BG week.”
No, that would be you. Why are you under the impression that I don’t know anything about PvP simply because I do not play PvP on this account?
There is no reason for you to jump to that conclusion. I know my fair share about PvP, I am certain you do as well.
Neither you nor I am better, or have more right to speak than anyone else in the PvP forum just because we might have higher rating than those we speak with.
Now that this is put to an end, I do hope you have a more open mind in the future.

This is just wrong. My alt is 231 ilvl and not even close to fully upgraded.

200 games played across 2v2 and 3v3. 2k and 2.1 cr, 62% win ratio 2s, 60% win ratio 3s. In what world is my alt even remotely close to being fully geared?

Update: My alt is now 2100 in 3v3. 61% win ratio. 119 games played. 185 games played across 2v2 and 3v3. 232 ilvl. Let’s see how many games it takes to get to full duelist upgrades whilst also playing random bgs/sporadic rated bgs.

same, my boomy is 2180 after 100 games and i still have 233 ilvl and pretty much no honor. It takes disgustingly wrong to be on pair with other players.
they should buff honor by another 100% and it slowly gets human

Sadly not a solution - it is about the amount spent farming honor…
We shouldn’t settle for that. They should remove honor grind completly and go back to similar systems as WoD or MoP.
21hours of non stop comp stomp to upgrade to duelist and someway we thinks this is a solution
I can’t understand how people find this acceptable. I made some calculation in season 1: How To Improve The WoW PvP Experience where you would need about 90k honor for honor gear… INSANE amounts of farming
If u wanna have the best gear in the game, 21 hours is nothing really.
