Isn´t this topic about the honor grind? Or you are one of those kids that turns everything into rating due to lack of arguments?

this is where your whole theory has its weakpoint. Very often people have way better gear than the CR range they are playing at allowed. People get gear from 2s or rbgs and play 3s or vice versa. People help friends at lower mmr. People have insane pve gear… there are many reasons for people outgearing others in rated arena.
Yeah but i literally explained this is in “theory” (and parenthetically explained what you are saying) and it is aimed at just countering Blizzard’s argument.
The fact that people can overpower their CR range through boosting or RBG or PvE gear is just another argument to counter Blizzard’s silly idea of power progression in ranked arena.
Even if they were to use the issue you mentioned and say “THUS” there is power progression, then it would mean Blizzard literally designed the system, on purpose, in a way where worse players are forced to play against better players with better gear…
But they didn’t (well, they are mostly ignoring the entire issue of people overpowering their own respective CR range) because that is just insanity and people would flip the f out if they did and went with the pure power progression argument.
The honor grind for conquest gear, not honor gear…which is higher (unless the recent changes have changed that).
People want to play arena, not say, farm compstomp AI to upgrade their gear.
Honor required for conquest items are insane. I didn’t realize it on my Warlock but now with the alts, i am almost 1800 with my Warr and majority of gear is still 3/9. Hell, some of them (ring, feet) are still 1/9!

Well, MOP was perfect as it was in terms of ilvl and pvp related stats, why they messed with it?No one knows, and no one agrees.
There should be only one set for honor and one for conquest with pvp stats attached to it and a set ilvl so in the end it comes down to skill and not gear.
Several ilvls attached to ratings only benefited the booster communities.
