The health of the shadow mob is absolutely too high. I just can’t get him to less than 10%. And before you say ‘Yeah, it’s doable’, check the people who did it, and more importantly, HOW they did it. With best gear possible for it, and with having literally 0 space left. at the end. The soft enrage is too brutal and the floor gets covered too quickly.
And before you say ‘git gud’ and stupid stuff like this, I’m currently 5/7 challenges, and I did it on classess that I suck with and don’t even play with (ww monk, retri pally) sub 20 attempts.
This? I already mained a demon hunter in Legion, and let me tell you, it was easier to meet the dps check with 900 ilvl than it is now.

How can it be a skill issue you orangutans??? I was pressing the same buttons in Legion, and I did it. I was pressing the same buttons yesterday and got him to 25%. I used azerite pieces, Garrosh heirlooms, bought extra enchants, gems etc, and got him to 10.6%, while pressing the same buttons. CBA farming SOO, HFC and EN for the trinket.
It’s only this overtuned for a havoc. Arms warrior do it way more easily.

According to the DH discord the Mechagon Trinket with the Cyclotronic Blast Red Card but you need to have the rep with Mechagon for that. If you have it took me an hour to refarm the spare parts needed to re-buy the trinket (the card is gold) . There we a number of groups up for it.
I haven’t tried prolonged but Unbridled are MVP for me give it a go.
Toxic one form NW is a poor trinket generally, idk if the scaling makes it better but I doubt it.
Try getting the PF one maybe, it’s for sure better than Golganeth.
I watched a video of Dratnos doing it in full SL gear. It was very tight - tight enough that the section of clear floor by the end was a spot right under his feet - but he completed it.
I don’t think any one is saying it cannot be done. I am not seeing many ‘regular joe’ videos of people completing this challenge. They all seem to be high end players, those that make a living from the game etc.
I’ve watched a few clears and they all seem to be almost down to the last pixel as it dies and these are what you would call ‘high end’ players.

Seems that way, I’m waiting and saving my sanity. I believe the general perception is that Havoc is the hardest class for the Xylem challenge, shame since it is the only class I care about.

They are overtuned and right now you have to abuse old items to meet the dps checks.
I suggest potion of unbridled fury (did 15% of the boss hp alone, for me) mechagon laser trinket (10% of boss hp in one go)
I reacquired it today (Mechagon was as busy was when it went live. Massive groups farming and others waiting for Harvester/Rustfeather. I though I’d be teleported back a couple of years!)
