New 11.0.7 faction queue systeme

So with this new update , i finaly tought that i can play with my two friends on raid finder instances od tw dungeons , but then i was reading that i need 5 people to q up with me so i can do so , i don’t go roam with 5 people everyday 24/7 , i barely can get two people with me who are interested in doing the instanced content , so im actualy wondering whats the point of all this ? should i go look for randoms so i can play with my friends ? like what ? dear blizzard please just make everything cross faction , i tought we got over this bs but its alwats the "you can do it buuuuuut there is twist " like is there a reason for the twist or they just wanted to milk the cross faction change and force people to redo alts so they can slurp more sub money ? i mean there should some marketing stuff always going no matter what.

I don’t understand why they can’t just allow proper cross faction queuing. This is not the solution.

Didn’t help either when Blizzard stole all my friends, by giving them access to Blood/High Elves on Alliance side :frowning:

I doubt that’s the case, you can group up to 5 party members, so I am sure you and your two friends can queue up with out a problem.

Is the ptr out yet? You could test it out with random people and write a feedback.

i mean they said “you need a 5 man premade group to q” wdym you doubt ? its already said in the blue post

I don’t like that the game is cross-faction in general. However, your suggestion does not really change much, as factions are already ruined anyway

No, if you wanna queue cross-faction you will need to be a full party. They wanna preserve those few ppl that dont wanna do dungeons/raids with the opposite faction for rp reasons or something.

I don’t understand why Blizzard doesn’t implement a system like the Mercenary Mode but in PVE so in case a player queue for the other faction queue he will transform into a race of the other faction inside the dungeon.

I do apologise I re-read it and it obligates to form a full group, however, I will feed back to them in the ptr and make it so that you can queue with one or two friends if desired. Initially when I heard of this update I simply assumed you could just queue with x party members up to 5.

My bad :+1:

Because of “super pro horde/alliance people who wouldnt like that” (their stated reason by Michael Bybee. Non actual quote. The interview is on wowhead.). The last five or so that exist in this game. Because adding a checkmark that states “queue me only with my own faction” is too hard or giving us a PvE Finder mercenary mode.

They’re stubborn to the idea because they think it breaks immersion for people pugging…

If they’re that vehement about it they should have a toggle for just the Puritans to party up within their own faction and stop screwing over everyone else!

And little do they understand that there is nothing more immersion breaking than a arbitrary invisible force that tells you to [word traumatizing to prudes] off for trying to talk or team up with others.

At least until saga ends, they should allow cross faction que for atleast the season dungeons and lfr raids. Bigger player pool can lead faster ques aswell.

The 2 faction prob gonna work together surely until the final.

After that if by chance we return to conflict again, then they just can remove it.

They said the faction war is permanently over. They won’t return to it. The only reason we have seperation is because of and I quote: “So first of all, the reason that we have hesitated on this, and some of Ion’s thinking that he explained then and is still true today is that we really feel like if you’re a player who is super pro-Horde or pro-Alliance and that’s what you identify as… you don’t want to find yourself queued up with a bunch of random Alliance people that you didn’t sign up for.” - Production Director Michael Bybee

Translation: Ion. As usual.

Well they claimed many things in the past. And the opposite happened.

Will see.

That’s so hilarious to me.

The amount of times I’ve been placed into the horde side in solo rated battlegrounds this season, it easily outnumbers the amount of times I’ve been on alliance side.

The faction argument is so outdated, especially for stuff like queuing with your friends.

It’s silly to me. In EverQuest you could group with anyone, even those who were your enemies storywise. It worked fine, I think a division like this in the playerbase is an unnecessary nuisance tbh. I hoped they would finally move past this limitation.

Game needs to be made more Cross-Faction, or they need to Enforce Faction Limits on Servers. Or allow Free Server Transfers away from Servers where one factions makes up more than 80% of the server population.

I mean… I don’t understand this idea of gameplay > Everything that some people have in the forums. If I only played wow for gameplay, I would play better games. The appeal for me to wow is the world of azeroth basically, the stories that happened in it, which were badass, and finally the character progression. If stuff like Factions get removed for gameplay, and everything gets homogenized, it’s not Azeroth anymore at some point. Gameplay is definitely important, sure, but the question is how much world building and “azeroth” do you wanna give up in the end for gameplay? For example, when I join a Battleground I don’t even know anymore, in which faction I’m in at the start. That’s very bad.
