Variety seems less in Alliance because we have gnomes basically ignored (recently they also got some attention though).
So briefly my point is nearly every race will get a sub-race for them probably. Is there any other better option for Night Elves? No, there is not (I think).

I’ve made the list according to their relations with the races of joint faction of those allied races but it is ok, your perspective is also acceptable, it does not change the fact that races are getting their subraces, some of them are just reskins and some of them are mostly original works (Kultirans). If they want to make a difference and attract players’ interest again WoW Devs need to put their effort into such interesting choices in my opinion.
There are just rumours about it but something like Trash Gnomes will not make any difference in sub numbers and I have no doubt about it. I just hope that Satyr idea becomes a reality…
I’d like to think the Satyr or Naga would give the Alliance a darker edge to it…but everytime Blizzard try and do that, they just end up humanizing the races and they become bland.
The Alliance needs something beyond Humans and friends.
I completely agree with you, actually they have created Bwonsamdi this expansion which is probably one of the best things about BfA and he can be a rolemodel for Satyr personality, something between evil and funny, more precisely somehow friendly but also evil trol and generally care about their own good and interest.Still Bwonsamdi was pretty useful against Alliance for Horde side right, he helped them alot. The relationship between Satyr and Alliance should be similar to Bwonsamdi-Horde relationship in my opinion.
They can use Bwonsamdi’s personality as a basis for Satyr personality briefly. It would be really nice to have such a different race on the Alliance side, we really need some different colours on our side.
Satyr would be an interesting race that i wouldnt mind playing, but honestly they might be too evil in general to be playable. Just like eredar. they have been demons for millenia now.
In the rare case they would be playable i really don’t think they would go to the Alliance. There is no way the night elves and by extension their pet dogs the worgen would accept them after dealing with them that long.
It would be like dreanei and the lightforged happily accepting eredar demons among them after they dealt with them on argus

As an Alliance player I killed Rastakhan over 50 times probably and when his HP get around %25 he says "No this is not a gift, this is a curse.Oh daughter what have I done! (talking about powers Bwonsamdi gave him which Talanji will inherit).
Still Bwonsamdi is generally liked character even by Alliance players the reason is he is half evil not completely evil and I think that this can be the common point between Satyr and him, they can design Satyr similar to Bwonsamdi. They can give some benefits of being an Allied Race to Satyr in exchange we will co-operate etc.
TL:DR I already didn’t say Bwonsamdi is Gul’dan 2.0 . He has his evil parts but he still remains friendly as long as there is a reason to remain that way.
Good Satyr turn to Night Elves again, bad Satyr remain Satyr. That’s the difference and they will not be added because 4 races need some kind of counterpart and the Night Elves already got one.
