New allied races

I really want to get playable Shivarra, Vrykul & Man’ari. A warlock and DH as a Man’ari would look just awesome. And Shivarra warrior OMG.

I’m not sure there are male Shivarra… Sivharri?
Nor would hope they would ever add a multi-armed species.
Man’ari just a Draenei with different colours, they would be a costumization (and they should allow the Warlock class to the Draenei) - I would be happy
Whats with this Vyrkul love tho’? They are basically just big humans (sure sure, lore, I know) and we already have Kul Tirans (for god knows why). Maybe the original Iron Vyrkuls, now that would be something but peeple usually dont want them, they want the pseudo-viking humans
A new race should be … a NEW race, not soemthing old and re-used like the lightforged or dark iron, mechagnome light or zanaldari or humans
Add the Botani!
Arakkoa
Saberon
Sayaad (now we have incubi male models)
Gnoll!!!
Ogre even (Kul Trians uses their rig anyway I think)
Any alien races from the Army of Light the Naaru gathered and saved in the past 25k years

Just bake the current Allied races in the Original race Barber options and be done with it…
They are a simply recolor or reskin anway, just like Mage Tower guardian form :man_facepalming:

I would like to play Vrykul, Ogre, Arrakoa, Saberon, Tuskarr and Furbolg, as Core Races, or add them at the Barber Shop as you said.

They are bad asss Vikings. That is what they are :relieved:

Also i can’t play Draenei as a horde. So if BLizzard make the Man’ari a cosmetic this should be open to the horde too.

ogres, but no, kul tirans are unique

amen brother

Thats the point
They are not
They are descended from titan-forged iron vrykul that were afflicted with the Curse of Flesh and are in turn the progenitors of the human race, who were originally vrykul children that were born weak and deformed as a result of the curse. Becoming weaker because of the curse, they balanced their diminishing strength by taming proto-dragons.
True, they are heavily Nordic-themed, but most of them not even seafaring!
They are basically nothing that a human can’t be, and you can be a Vrykul follower Human, since not all vrykul could bear to kill their own flesh and blood. Despite their king’s harsh decree, they sheltered their children and took them away to a land far away from Northrend, the modern Tirisfal Glades. They had heard stories of the vrykul clan that had followed Tyr and had settled in that area and decided it was a safe haven for their children. There they nursed and raised their children in secret, and taught them the stories and values of ancient vrykul society as well as the ways of foraging, masonry, smithing, and warfare
Most of the vrykul that had settled in Tirisfal Glades eventually died off or succumbed to the curse of flesh. One group lasted longer than the others and formed a secretive order known as Tyr’s Guard to protect Tyr’s tomb. These vrykul knew that they would not live forever and decided to induct some of the new humans into their ranks to ensure the future of the group. They taught these new members the history of Tyr and the truth about the tomb
Then went extinct… however, tales persisted of a race of giants who had once walked among the humans and watched over them, like parents watching over their children. Weapons left behind by the vrykul were treated by the early humans as sacred heirlooms and tribal symbols
Basically they passed enough to the humans to follow their traditions… but those traditions are not really “viking-like”
What is a “viking” anyway?
Vikings is the modern name given to seafaring people originally from Scandinavia (present-day Denmark, Norway and Sweden), who from the late 8th to the late 11th centuries raided, pirated, traded and settled throughout parts of Europe. While spreading Norse culture to foreign lands, they simultaneously brought home slaves, concubines and foreign cultural influences to Scandinavia, influencing the genetic and historical development of both.
The Vrykul did none of these things… they are heavily Nordic-themed, I give you that, but heavily Nordic-themed =/= Viking
If someone wants to be a Viking, sure, why not? The Humans have enough lore behind them to be Viking-like… but asking for flesh cursed constructs who are Nordic themes more or less to do that is a bit strange
But I will be the last who judge you for that, but find strange the reason behind the wish
I respect it, just find it strange

tall, long beards, manly

No, no more allied races, especially cheap recolors like Man’ari. I’d rather they give Draenei red skin option and the ability to be Warlock/DH.

or you know, more allied races and make the knockoffs cutsomizations like has been suggested million timez

:open_mouth: i am not saying their origin is a Viking one. When they became flesh and bone they became Vikings in my eyes. So that is why i like them and want them.

If Man’ari are Draenei recolour then the whole race must not be Alliance bound. Because i really want to play them as a DH or Warlock at Horde

No, deal with it. You’re going to have your orc DHs or whatever.

I’d love playing the turtle race

There are none male ones. But if Blizzard can do unnecesary changes to the Illidan’s harem then they should be able to create a male Shivarra. Not that i will care about it. But god damn it those 4 arms are awesome

Stewards or not interested.

Would be awesome if we could play Arakkoa. Always thought they were a super cool race ever since first seeing them in Outland.
