New Class - Commando

New ranged class - Commando

Carries a big massive minigun and throws grenades.

Specs could be
Engineer - dps - think demo lok but with robots
Field Medic - heals - Healing bombs and healing cannon
Juggernaut - tank - Shield specialist and a hypnocannon for taunting

Strictly speaking only Goblins, Gnomes and Dwarves should be able to build them but pretty sure they’d share them with all other races so let’s make it a free for all!

Something a wee bit different from the normal fantasy stuff, but it can still be worked into the lore with tech already in it.

Approximately 0 people that suggest new specs, have played in depth all the specs in the game. I wonder what they really need from new specs; the aesthetics maybe; or maybe the story.

Shotgun for frontal cone AoE
A sniper rifle for taunting from range
A chainsaw for crippling enemies as a CC.

I suggested new specs and I literally played every class and spec in the game.

All im gonna say is that they had to rip apart other classes to make demonhunter, and they couldn’t even make it 3 specs

Don’t think the game needs more classes

And why should they? Not all classes / specs are interesting to everyone, even on lore level, let alone mechanically.

I’d be more for a short ranged rogue with pistol tbh

Demon hunter 3rd spec should come next expansion were they use ranged, Aka Diablo 3 Demon hunter. No idea why it never had it in the first place. I understand the npc versions always used melee but they could have added some lore that made some of them use range as a technique.

Demon hunters nicked meta from warlocks. Regarding the rest of what they have, how exactly did their creation “rip apart” other classes?

If this is about them being a hyper mobile class, I must have missed the part that says “and thou shall only have one dashing class” because monks are still hyper mobile.

Regarding the rest, they’re about as similar to other classes as they are to each other. Their resource generation is completely unique (full control of build spend with no passive component and no CD on builder).

I agree, locks got shafted, but it’s one ability. “Several classes were torn down in the making of this class” is just overstating things. There will always be some overlap when new classes arrive.

I mean when monk arrived (as a monk myself) Chi was essentially a repacked version of holy power that was slightly different. Roll is essentially “blink, with added graphics” in many ways.

There will always be crossover due to how wows combat system works at current and how the game is designed. You could completely do something massively different with a resource that’s like totally unique and combat that’s completely different like entirely zone based and turret based say, but is that actually going to work in a game like WoW? With how much movement there is? Would it not be too OP in PvP where defending nodes is a thing? This kind of stuff limits implementing stuff that is completely and totally different.

I mean initially monks couldn’t even auto attack! But they changed that because it was a nightmare to balance them against everyone else.

Again no. It could be pretty much copyrighted too. Also making a ranged tank could pretty much make other tanks obselete. Because range is superior in pve almost in any way compared to melee.

Tinker could be new class , but i really dont want it to look and feel same as playstyle just like other classes.
Maybe tinkers could be only tank or healer;and use int gear; which would be very interesting to see.
(just like demonhunters who can tank or dps) Game also need a lot of new tanks and healers so it would be really logical.
Also considering that most engineers use their intelligence rather than strength ; this could be an interesting concept ; as lorewise.

That’s not what I said though, I said “in depth”. I doubt more than 0.1% of players in this game understand in depth not all but even most specs and even that may be a lot.

it doesnt have to be 1:1 those words or mechanics, blizzard could get creative and make it fit. furthermore, i think those ideas are neither too specific nor original enough to be copyrighed imo.

Sure you might have to get a little creative with the naming, but ultimately they’re generic soldiers. Which are found in every other computer game.

Besides we have Warriors, SWTOR has Sith Warriors. Both are duel wielding melee.

The likelihood is that if another class is added (Tinker please!) it will be something related to the whole Warcraft series.
