New classes

Please dont remind us of this tragic incident of gul’dans death or anything regards dhs. Gul’dan may be dead but the memory lives on :dracthyr_nod:

I wouldnt mind too much if they remove dh to not have so many classes either but I dont see that happening. As far as Im concerned dh took warlock metamorphosis. Demo had it first till the winged new class arrived to take it from us :dracthyr_shrug:

They could of come up with racial talent system, make every race viable and add spice to it in every mode, levelling, pve or pvp.

They could add bard and tinkerer as fourth spec to any already existing ones and remove evoker and dh to not have so many classes and they being the newest they would be removed.

Blizzard can barely balance what we have. Let’s see balance amongst dps, and something to help the tank and healer populations before we complicate balance further by adding new classes or specs to the mix.

Just give Rogue a gunslinger spec and I’ll be happy.

Viable = best in players eyes.

If they did that then each spec/class would have a specific race you ‘MUST’ run in.

I get where you are coming from but with that mindset we will never see something new in wow cause blizz simply cannot balance the specs

I would rather 1 hybrid every once in a while, especially if that hybrid is going to be Bard.

Hopefully augmentation has taught Blizzard a lesson - support just doesn’t work, as everyone knew.

Blizzard being Blizzard could double down, introducing a new support such as bard.

Supports do work, the problem with Aug is that it is the only one and it was left unchanged for almost 2 years. If we had 3-4 more support specs it would be a completely different story…

I think Shaman, Priest and Warrior are good contenders for a new support spec. Imagine a Warrior spec based around using banners to rally their allies damage and debuffing enemies.

I would rather we have specs that are consistent before we add new ones, otherwise a bad problem only gets worse.

If you are struggling with existing commitments, don’t make new ones.

The problem is the specs are different to be balanced.
How would you balance a bursty fire mage against a affliction lock?

I honestly think to get any kind of balance they would need to just make one tank one heal and one DPS for both ranged and meele.
But that would also negate getting more specs

Undead Paladin?

Looking at the list of potentiel class ideas

What would make a necromancer different from playig a lock or a dk ?

Witch is another one ,aren’t mage or locks already witches under a different name ? What can witches do that both classes can’t.

The lancer sounds cool a polearm class , but how would it differ from a survival hunter ?

I am suprised we never got something similar to Diablo 3’s Demon hunter. Duel wield 1h crossbows / pistols , that’s a neat idea with turrets.

This is what survival hunter should of been

That has also been studied. Human bias that is why.

I dont deny that people would get angry. But you cannot deny either that more specs, or keeping the 47 we already have, is a bad idea.

My very favourite on this list is “celestial lancer”. This would be the class I main forever, if I could, it’s so badass. Honestly, I like every single concept on this list, did Blizzard suddenly see the light or what’s going on?

Indeed, you would have tank, healer, and support shortages. Support can cross the line into healer too much imo.

ABSOLUTELY false.

The game itself is not designed for Support specs of any kind. No matter how many.

If you want to incorporate support rolls you have to change the game mechanics from the ground up. Including major rework of every single class.

I for once am happy Aug is dead. And I hope he stays dead. For ever.

I said in the 10.1.7 beta it would be a problem. And it took Blizzard almost 3 years to see what was obvious from the start.

I say yes to new support specs, originally paladins, shamans and druids were the prime support hybrid specs, and frankly evoker’s augmentation was a mere test, powerful in PvE environments but somewhat mediocre in rated PvP. I welcome additional support specs potentially coming up in the form of bards & tinkers, and redesign core classes furthermore, I think it’ll certainly add up some fun elements into the game in all existing modes.
